Riddhima ke bare mein bhi socho...

We've analysed Armaan enough I think- His longings, his emotions....But what about Riddhima? The Story of DMG began with her- so she is supposedly the protagonist.

Why then is she being shown in an almost negative light by the creatives? Why are her reactions always the worst imaginable- the sati-savitri sacrifice queen, the stupid responses 'mujhe nahin pata tum kya keh rahe ho'- yesterday and her generally bad characterisation of the unsure girl who doesnt know what she wants...or rather THINKs she knows what she wants?

This is the general reaction of the masses- so whether us few people who are trying to put ourselves in her shoes and analyse why she is acting that way, do this analysis or not makes no difference...

But suppose we were to analyse her response yesterday- one observation was that she started crying and getting upset over their encounter sitting on the chair...why? can anyone actually explain it to me. as a girl, who's pretty much desi and introverted- putting myself in her situation i wouldnt feel upset- just a bit shocked- how and why did i just express myself like this- but i wouldnt lash out at him saying 'no i dont feel anything 4 u'. Thats blatantly lying- because i think id pretty much know by now that i love him. What is this girl....and more importantly, the creatives trying to do here?!?!?!

aaah krystall...we have been over this actually...and we are all hoping the creatives redeem ridhima from this vortex they've sent her into.

as to the reasons for her behavior, i think spirit nicely summed it up along with some inputs from others like sareeta and missy. the first thing to note is that she is lying not just to armaan but herself too. why would someone lie to themselves? it has to be something that stops them from acknowledging their own feelings. what are the reasons for ridhima's denial, we can only conjecture.

first and foremost, she needs more substantiation of armaan's true depth and emotions. she has seen flashes and those flashes seem to pale under armaan's constant niggling and jokes. she needs something to shock her out of her prejudice that armaan is all laughs. if you remember that seems to be ridhima's constant complaint agaisnt armaan. har cheez mazaak nahin hoti.

second, she is battling demons. what those demons are, i am not sure, but it was obvious when she was tormented after the face-stroke impulse she gave into. demons of her mother being betrayed, demons of her own insecurities as far as her blood status is concerned, demons of the bet, demons that we have not even been exposed to yet...there are several theories, each one more fantastic than the other.

but you are right, the creatives need to give us something to justify all this now. we have conjectured enough, time for some concrete answers!!

you knw i hav bin ponderin over ridhima's reaction for quite sumtime and have more or less come to the conclusion that her reactions probably the reaction that you would get from a majority of girls faced with similar circumstances.

to understand why she said what she said we really need to rationalise the kind of thought mode she ws in at that time.she ws most certainly shocked with a very heavy dose of confusion brimming over with emotions that she still hasn't given a name to.with all these swirling inside her was it any wonder she lashed out a denial.

remember this when faced with very strong emotions we generally protect ourselves with the aid of anger and denial.in such a state of vulnerability,armaan made it doubly easier for her to cloak anger as a means of hidding from truth which she doesn't or cannot comprehend.

there is a lot of doubt in her mind and heart regarding armaan and his attitude really doesn't help in clearing that shroud.she percieves him as a person who is elementaly very easy going,dis coupled with his casanova act renders him and his unprofessed love as highly doubious with ridhima.more so because she is his antonym.ridhima believes in a serious honest approach to life in generall and hence cannot connect with armaan on a very basic level,making his feelings and hers even more of a puzzle for her.

another point to ponder is that armaan hasn't yet given her those words,so she's probably even wondering if his feeelings are sincere then why doesn't he confess them.also to be the first to actually voice your feelings needs a lot of courage and a lot of conviction,she lacks that conviction hence making that courage a stranger too.

Yes, we all know that Ridz is like any other sacrifice queen on TV, and what else can u expect from her? I know that it is not really Ridz but the creatives vison...I must say, bad vision though

but Shilpa is doing a good job on acting the role of Ridz though. 😉

ridz is jsut fantastic! everything abt her is gr8..we cnt say we hate her ..cus she has feelings 2...shes been through alot ..and its not easy to gain bak trust ...u hav to wait a long time

i dont think she is being shown negative as such
but she has been shown a strong mind
she wont go 2 armaan just bcoz he wants her 2 come 2 her!
if u think bout it armaan's been shown 2 hav many girls in the show
but armaan is ridz 1st boy - friend as such
i think she trusts him more as a friend then anythin else

I think after getting a bit cooled down after 24hrs of the last eppy, I was able to just ponder over Ridzi's reactions.
as u all say, she is a bit confused and little off track from figuring out her own emotions, for what all has happened with her few weeks back, and yes as @pixie sez, armaan has always been easy going and a lover-boy kinda image, so a person like her with a very staright outlook towards life, and he being her first BF for which she is having a genuine feeling of love which wld probably be her first n last, for tht kind of a gal who we see it very often in our society,her emotions are well justified...but the only thing which I can't take is ...she shldn't have been so harsh on him, she shldn't have told that she doesn't feel anything for Armaan , she cld have acted dumb as she alwasy do.

Promos are very deceiving though, as we all kno, we all expected so much after the promo shown just b4 the 29th nov eppy.The recent one, was little drag I felt, how conveniently the just start bickering with eachother.It wld have been much better if they were not in talking terms at all.Its not digesting nai???I loved atul n Angi's part...I hope they get close to each other...and no triangle between ARman,Ridhi & Angi. 😉

dats exactly wat i thght too....hw very convenient for dem.....lets pretend nothin happ.!!!it wud hav bin loads better if armaan had stopped talkin to her...den his words wud hav carried sum weight wid ridhima!!
