From the time of KB hall sequence after which Pragya confesses to her mother that she is in love with her husband, she has been saying she loves Abhi.
Hard to define love, but we can definitely make an analysis.
I wonder what kind of love is Pragya's, that is for Abhi.
So when she realized she loved Abhi, she was dreamy and wished for a life with him. Fine, any girl who loves a guy would wish for that.
There was a reality in Abhi's life that was Tannu. Pragya thought Abhi 'loved' Tannu although she believed it to be superficial. Pragya also knew Abhi was under various misunderstandings regarding her and Bulbul. But did she ever try to make it real better for Abhi, because she loved him?
She did not make way for TaBhi at that time. Why? Is it because she believed Tannu's love for Abhi was not real, or she wanted Abhi for herself, and hoped that one day he will be hers?
Abhi used to often tell Pragya she needs to leave him. But she never took that step. MMS was one scenario she could have used to leave Abhi and MM, so that he can move on with his life. But she did not.
Moreover she knew Abhi was going wrong about her because he didn't know the truths. She never bothered to tell him her truth so that he mends his notions about her.
Nor did she tell any truths about Tannu of whom she knew a lot about. She knew Tannu could steal, cheat, try to kill people, harm elders etc. But she never let Abhi know of any of these things and she knew he continued to hope to be with Tannu in future.
Was Pragya as a lover wished the best for Abhi? I don't deny she never thought ill of him and hoped the best for him. But in practicality there was so much she could do for him to make his life better at that time, either by telling him her truth of not being a gold digger or Tannu's truths.
It's a different matter if he believed or not. She never tried to tell him anything.
But she did try to leave Abhi and eventually left Abhi when she heard of Tannu's pregnancy.
But again, she went against Abhi's instinct and wishes, she wanted to tie Tannu to Abhi, she wanted the baby to have a mom-dad. As she admits during his love confession, she was not able to live with the guilt of coming between a baby and its parents.
So again, Pragya did this for her guilt. She tied Abhi to Tannu for her guilt. Where was her love for Abhi at that time? Why did she not let Abhi do whatever he wants to with Tannu? Why did she bring Tannu in forcefully to MM and made it so complicated for Abhi?
And then she heard the truths of Tannu but rather than immediately telling Abhi about it and freeing him of that guilt, she has complicated everything so much more.
First she hurt him by becoming Mogambo. She claimed Mogambo avtar was needed for her to expose Tannu. Now Tannu knows she isn't Mogambo, then what did she achieve? Despite her failures (constant failures) why does she never sit back and think she needs to dare to tell truth to Abhi?
And she takes Abhi's kind hearted help in every problems she faces along the way. She is okay if Abhi had to risk his life by jumping into Ravan effigy, she is okay if Abhi has to deal with a killer Vijay, she expects Abhi to speak up for her and trust her every time...and she is okay if Abhi has to get hurt with constant denials of love.
The worst part is she can see Abhi being blamed a 100 times about Tannu's baby being his and she watches like a silent spectator.
What kind of love is Pragya's here?
Recently she is busy celebrating her birthday and messing with his emotions further regarding Fuggy/Mogambo rather than taking him near Tannu's truth. What are Pragya's priorities? Proving to Tannu that Abhi is hers or exposing Tannu to Abhi?
She claims of course she only loves Abhi, she will do everything for him! She proves it too in some way by ignoring her sister's death and mother's paralysis and not giving up her mission. But is it real love? While it looks like love once in a while, it also looks like obsession and insecurity at other times.
Guess Pragya needs to revisit the basics of love!
