3^rd Shot: Asad, Will You Be In A Live-In Relationship With Me?

Asad returned to his hotel room. He recalled 2day's events in Green Apple office n became sad. He was still in shock wid Zoya's behaviour but he knew dat it was expected. He recalled how Zoya fired Nida for her carelessness. It was nothing in front of how he used to fire anyone earlier who made even d slightest mistake. He felt bad for Nida wen Zoya fired her but he wud never feel bad weneva he wud fire someone. He wud not listen to his mother who wud advise him not to be so rude to his employees n not fire them widout any big reason. He wud even not listen to his mother many times which made her afraid of him sometimes regarding Najma like allowing her to wear western clothes or teln him dat Najma cut her hair. He felt foolish of himself at how cud he come between his sister's simplest choices like clothes or hairstyles. He remembered how Dilshad n Najma did not talked him for a week blaming him for always hurting Zoya n even them wid his behaviour. Dilshad n Najma even blamed themselves for takn Asad n Zoya's fights lightly n not standing for Zoya most of d times wen it was their responsibility to make Zoya comfortable in their house by even teln Asad to shut up n behave properly wid Zoya wen needed. His mother firmly told him never to oppress n impose his ridiculous decisions on Najma like her clothes, hairstyles, at wat time she wanted to come home n other things(I wished Dilshad did dis in d show instead of always keeping quiet n never speaking up for Najma to let her live as she wants. Dilshad was Asad's mother not d other way round.). Najma even accused him for only loving his step-brother Ayaan as he never had fun wid her n their mother like he had wid Ayaan as he only was always serious n stern wid them n did not like even wen they talked while eating or danced sometimes teln him how he never was cool n cheerful wid them like he was always wid Ayaan. Asad was hurt wid her accusations realizing how he was different wid Ayaan n his own family. Najma started wearing wat she wanted wid Dilshad's support n Asad did not objected them realizing dat its her choice to wear wat she wants. Najma even told dat his 7pm deadline meant dat she cud never work in office but only stay at home after her studies which made Asad realize dat Najma is not a kid anymore n she will not be wid him all his life so she had to learn to face d world herself. Tanveer used to try to convince Asad n his family in indirect ways to get her married to Asad using Dilshad's challenge to Shirin n reputation due to dat but Asad was not interested in marrying anyone as he loved only Zoya n thought dat he don't deserve any girl after how he behaved wid Zoya. Due to Zoya's outburst, Najma n Dilshad realized how he had become due to his past n how they did not made much efforts to change his behaviour which led to his regressive thinking. Asad was forgiven by Dilshad n Najma after a week but they told him never to dominate or oppress him according to his convenience n even told him to clean his things himself instead of ordering them again n again like servants. Najma started getn jealous wen Asad n Ayaan wud meet to which Asad convinced her dat he will not be serious wid her n their mother like earlier n will have fun wid them also. Asad wud miss Zoya but Dilshad n Najma wud tell him dat it was expected dat Zoya wud hate him very much one day n he sud forget her n make sure he never hurts any other girl again. Asad came out of his past n recalled how Zoya along wid her friend Matt behaved wid him in her cabin. He realized dat Zoya has become arrogant n ruthless to d world n her employees like he was till 2 years ago wid d exception dat he was very regressive while Zoya is not. Still, he was proud dat Zoya has became a very successful businesswoman in 2 years wen he always underestimated her thinking her dumb n childish.

Zoya was in her home. It was a farmhouse which she brought a year ago. She wud sumtyms live there n sumtyms wid her family. She recalled how Asad came in her office as d client. Tears came 4m her eyes thinking why he came back in her life wen she moved on. He apologized to her but how cud she trust him after wat she went in his house for 6 months. Wat if his change is temporary like always wen she wud think dat he change but he wud always show d next moment dat he can never change. She lied on her bed thinking how hard it was for her to move on 4m Asad wid d help of her family, Matt n other friends. She decided to became like Asad except dat she will not regressive like Asad. She decided to be like him as she was tired of being nice to others in India wen all she got in return was only hurt n pain. She did not wanted to give anyone d chance to hurt her again. She never dated any other guys after her bad experience wid Akram n Asad. She became like Asad but not much like him. She wud not fire anyone for small reasons. She had actually pretended to fire Nida cuz she saw Asad outside d cabin. She wanted to show Asad how she became like him to fire anyone for any mistake n how his behaviour of firing anyone had hurt many people even his own mother. She was glad dat Asad has stopped firing people like earlier but she cud not believe wat he said as he may be lying to get her back. She wiped her tears n called Nida on her cell to reinstate her in her job.

"Hello," said Nida.

"Nida, I thought a lot. I think I sud give u one chance. U can join my office again 4m 2mrw but don't do any mistakes again," said Zoya in a normal tone widout any softness.

"Thanks a lot, ZZF. I will not let u down again," said Nida happily.

"Okay, see u 2mrw. Good luck," said Zoya n hung up.

Next day, Zoya came in her office dressed in a blue jeans, white t-shirt n red blazer. Asad was already in d office wid Prasad. Asad had come to know dat Zoya reinstated back Nida.

"Glad dat u r not late 2day," said Zoya as Nida came to her side.

Asad n Zoya started working on their collaboration project along wid Prasad n Nida. They only talked abt work. Asad wud glance at Zoya sumtyms but she did not paid attention to him. He recalled how Zoya wanted his attention several times after dat bhang night but he only ignored n insulted even using Tanveer to put her down n demean her n how he pretended to not remembering d bhang night wen she wud try to make him remember. He realized how it felt wen he is in d same position of wanting Zoya's attention but getn only her ignorance. At d end of d day, he heard Zoya talking wid her aapi dat they will go to pub to chill out along wid their friends. Asad was shocked to hear dat Zoya goes to club. He decided to go to go to d same club to see her. He knew dat it was not right to follow someone n its her choice to go to pub or anywhere but he cud not stop himself. He heard her talk Zoya is going to Ivory pub. He left 4m there. Zoya who was aware of Asad hearing her talks got angry wid him hearing her personal talk.

Asad arrived at Ivory at 6 past 5 which was 5 minutes after he heard Zoya cumn here wid her aapi. He saw Zoya dancing wid her aapi n her friends wid drinks in their hands. Zoya was wearing a short white dress. He was shocked to see even her aapi dressed in short yellow dress. Zoya saw him n got angry. He whispered sumthn to Zeenat who also got angry. They told their friends to excuse themselves for some time n went to Asad.

"I thought dat u always talked abt tehzeeb n tameez but u urself don't have them as u 1^st heard my personal phone talk n then came here to spy on me," taunted Zoya.

"U came here thinking dat Zoya is so characterless to go to a pub to chill out n even her aapi is so characterless. U came here to see us so dat u cud tell ur family wat u saw in d pub abt us. By d way, u may be wondering wat we r drinking so lemme clear to u dat we r just having soft drinks not any alcoholic drinks," said Zeenat irritatingly.

"U both r thinking me wrong. I came here to see Zoya in pub on how she enjoys here. I was curious so I heard her phone calls. But u both r wrong in thinking dat I will call u both characterless. Its dat I never knew u dat u both go to pubs also," said Asad.

"Cuz of ur nature, Zoya cud never say it to u otherwise Allah knows wat all u wud have said to her. Now u got to know na so just get lost n leave us alone," said Zeenat rudely.

Asad left d pub hurt at their behaviour.

Days went by. Asad tried a lot to win Zoya by giving her bouquets, chocolates n other gifts but Zoya who did not wanted him to take for granted again always threw or send back his gifts. Asad saw a new Zoya in New York at least new for him. She wud go to pubs n discos to chill out wid her friends n even Zeenat but she wud not have alcoholic drinks. He even heard 4m her talking to her friends abt wearing bikinis sometimes on d beach n Zoya wud tell him dats its normal even in some places at India n dis is US so he sud better think twice before judging her. Zoya had no problems wid all dis as it was not a big deal but she was surprised dat Asad had not reacted on all dis. She wonders if Asad is really changed in those 2 years. But she also fears dat once in India, Asad may show his true colours again as she can't trust him after wat she went thru for 6 months due to him.

"Tumne Zoe ko 6 mahine tak hurt kiya n most probably aage bhi karte if Zoe did not came back here," said Matt who saw Asad in d parking of Zoya's office unhappy wid Zoya's behaviour, "Tumhaari to 6 din me hi hawa nikal gayi Zoe k behaviour se."

"Tumne kabhi pyaar nahi kiya hai jo tumhe meri feelings samajh me aayegi," said Asad.

"Oh plz, muje pyaar k baare me gyaan mat de," said Matt wid attitude, "Haan, maine pyaar nahi kiya hai kisise ab tak but I don't judge girls by their clothes. I don't tuk d anger of my troubled past on anyone around me. Agar main kisise pyaar karta to use kabhi hurt nahi karta. Main use mujse nafrat karne ka mauka hi nahi deta tha. Luk at u, Asad. U say dat u love Zoe. But u never made her happy. In fact, u hardly talked n had fun even wid ur own mother n sister cuz u were still stuck in ur past. U ordered around ur mother n sister cleaning ur things troubling them wid ur OCD. U even did not listened to ur mom many times n cuz of dat even she was afraid of ur angry n things u wud not approve of like allowing Najma to wear jeans n letn u know dat Najma cut her hair short. U were only busy in ur work dat u hardly spend some family time wid them. Then how can u keep Zoe happy?"

Asad was shocked at wat he said which was true.

"I have said many times dat wateva I did was in d past n I have truly changed," said Asad.

"Even if u have truly changed, Zoe will not believe u. U know d story na The Boy Who Cried Wolf' where d villagers did not believed d shepherd boy even wen he said d truth which caused destruction in d field. Same way, u did mistakes many times n Zoe always thought dat u had changed but u wud always show ur true colours n bcum worse than d previous time. So, even if u r saying d truth dat u have truly changed Zoe will only think dat u have not really changed n will show ur true colours soon," said Matt n left 4m there.

Asad realized dat wat he said was true. How can he expect Zoya to trust him so easily?

Next day was d last day of Zoya's meeting wid Asad. After d work was completed, Zoya decided to throw a pool party D next day at her farmhouse to celebrate d completion of d project. She also invited Asad he was d client. She was alone wid Asad in d cabin.

"Plz, don't wear ur 3-piece suit to d party as it's a pool party not some business meeting. It will be so much fun to dress in pool clothes," said Zoya.

"Wat me?" asked Asad shockingly.

"So now u r getn cultural shocks ha," said Zoya amusingly, "Remember how u always judged me n other modern girls on their clothes. Remember how u force ur thinking on Najma dat she sud not wear modern clothes n befriend wid girls wearing them. Remember how u said to ur step-sisters dat they will meet men according to d clothes they wear wen some men teased them. I hope u don't spoil my party by lukn odd or just don't come to d party."

Asad was shocked wid her words. She is reminding his mistakes again n again to hurt him but it was he who hurt others wid his ideology. He was invited to pool parties several times by his friends n other businessmen but he always rejected it thinking pool parties to be wrong. But now he is again invited to d pool party by none other than d love of his life. She told him to not spoil her party by lukn odd or just don't come to d party. He can't avoid d party or spoil her party. He will wear casual clothes. After all, its just a pool party where everyone will be dressed d same n he needs to prove Zoya dat he has changed.

"I am not getn cultural shocks, Zoya. I will come in proper dress code," said Asad.

"Good," said Zoya, "Don't worry, there will not be any alcohols which may be worrying of. No need to be scared n nervous. Vaha ab aise hi kapdon rahenge. Don't worry, maine tumhe insult karne k liye nahi bulaaya hai mere party me qki vo kaam sirf tumhaara hai."

Asad did not knew wat to say. He can't believe dat she cleared his doubts which was in mind abt alcohol n Zoya insulting him in d party. She sounded genuine. But he was hurt wen she said dat its his job to insult as she is not believing dat he has changed.

"I need to go," said Asad not knowing wat else to talk.

"Maine tumhe pool party me to bula hi diya hai, Asad. Lets see how u react on seeing me in a bikini. Lets see if u pass d test or show ur true colours," said Zoya.

Next morning, Asad arrived at Zoya's farmhouse for d pool party dressed in white shirt n red bermuda shorts. He was a little embarrassed but he don't remember wen he never wore shorts in public after his college. He started searching for Zoya wondering wat she may be wearing. He spotted her talking wid her friends n her aapi. All were dressed in pool themed clothes. Zoya was dressed in a printed blue bikini top n red shorts. He saw dat Zeenat was dressed in a short blue printed dress. He was lost in Zoya at how hot n sexy she was lukn. If he had seen her like dis 2 years ago then he wud have not only judged her but also her aapi n her friends. Matt came behind him unknown to him. He was wearing a white loose t-shirt n black bermuda shorts. He was seeing how Asad was lukn at Zoya.

"I did not thought dat I & Zoya will be in matching colour shorts," said Asad wid a smile

Matt was shocked at his reaction. He was not angry but talking abt matching shorts colour.

"Is he really changed or he is just amazed to see her in bikini for d 1st time?" thinks Matt.

He quietly left 4m there. Zoya spotted Asad n came to him. She saw some girls both Indian n non-Indian girls drooling on him n talking among themselves how hot he is.

"Luks like u already made an effect on d girls wid ur appearance," said Zoya, "Some girls r talking abt u. They saw u for d 1st so they r wondering who u r."

"But I am not able to effect d one who I want to," said Asad.

"Lets go to have some drinks," said Zoya changing d topic understanding wat he said.

She tuk him to d drinks counter n poured Blue Lagoon in 2 glasses n gave one to him.

"U r lukn beautiful," said Asad.

"I hope wat u said is genuine instead of thinking how can she wear dis," said Zoya.

"Luks like u will not believe me wateva I do or say but I can't blame u for dat. I genuinely said dat u lukd beautiful. 2 years is a long time for a person to change. I always thought dat people stare at girls for wearing less clothes but here nothing is happening," said Asad.

"Asad, dis is a pool party n all r dressed like dis. Everyone came here to enjoy not to stare at girls. Not all guys have thinking like some Indian men who stare at girls wearing modern clothes. In India, I was many times insulted even for wearing jeans but here I can wear wat I want widout fear. In fact, its u who got stared by girls cuz many of d girls saw u for d 1st but I attended n hosted pool parties several times so I was hardly stared at but no one stared at me wid bad intention it was just normal staring like we do on seeing anyone. I am glad dat I made u comfortable here as a host cuz I will not be a bad host to u at least in dis party like u were to me for 6 months in Bhopal," said Zoya.

After finishing their drinks, Zoya ordered for some starters for themselves.

"Earlier, I was alone in Bhopal wid everyone stranger to me but now u r alone in New York wid everyone stranger to u. Some people like u, Haseena, Razia commented on my clothes. How u will feel if someone comments on u for sumthn in New York?" asked Zoya.

"I am feel very bad like u felt," replied Asad.

"Then why u did those mistakes. Ur mother was modern na then why u became opposite to her. U hated Siddiqui family but ur thinking was like them only. Why u always hurt me, Asad? Kya buraayi thi mujhme agar main jeans aur shorts pehenti thi to? Kya buraayi thi mujhme agar main job karti thi to? Kya buraayi thi mujhme agar main 7 baje k baad ghar laut-ti thi to? Main criminal thi kya? Or fir koi terrorist?" asked Zoya ina hurt voice.

Asad was speechless as he felt a lump forming in his throat.

"Zoya, I don't how I turned into a guy wid regressive thinking n cheap mentality," said Asad, "May be cuz of my bad past I turned like dis."

"Don't use ur bad past as explanation. Ur bad past does not give a license to be a regressive & a jerk. Having a bad past is no excuse. Period. Even I had a bad past but I was not like a jerk to u," said Zoya(Lifted 4m a similar dialogue 4m another show).

"I realized dat I sud not use my bad past to hurt anyone be it being oppressive on my family, having regressive mentality or firing employees wid small reasons," said Asad.

"I think I sud also start hurting everyone cuz I was an orphan whose father left her n her mother in childhood, was ridiculed by relatives for not having father's surname but having mother's surname after my name, was teased in school by some students cuz instead of my parents aapi's parents wud come for Parents Day, had 2 failed relationships Akram n then u, was kidnapped by Akram her due to ur mistakes along wid beaten, drugged n almost forcibly married to him, mental torture by u for months, betrayal by phuphi wen she wanted us to marry just to win a challenge, then cumn to know dat my step-father n my own father killed my mother, ur father burning my mother's factory so dat his n Gaffur's business r not threatened(Rashid had burned d factory willingly n was only guilty for killing a woman which he thought). Sud I also hurt everyone so much to destroy their self-respect, self-confidence n sprits? I think I sud take u to some orphanage so dat u teach d kids to be jerks to everyone cuz they had bad pasts," said Zoya.

Asad was shocked wid wat all she said. He was ashamed of himself.

"Wat u all r saying is true but dis is also true dat I have changed," said Asad.

"I will see how much u have changed," said Zoya, "Lets introduce u to others."

Zoya tuk Asad to her guests n introduced him happily widout not doing anything to humiliate him publicly. Asad shook hands wid d guests n started talking wid some of them on business while Zoya went to sit on a chair at 1 of d tables. Matt came n sat before her.

"Zoe, Asad surprised me wen he came here as he was not a bit angry on seeing u in dis cloth but instead said dat u both wore matching clothes," said Matt.

"I can't believe he said dat," said Zoya.

"I think he has really changed," said Matt.

"U don't know wat all he did to me," said Zoya.

"I know but I think u sud give him 1 chance. If he does any mistake again then I will make sure he will think 100 times before hurting u or any other girl," said Matt.

"Even I think he has changed. I will put such a proposal before him in order to give him a chance dat he will be astonished," said Zoya n told him her plan(mute to d readers).

Matt was shocked wid her plan.

"U sud not do dis as he may hurt u again," said Matt.

"We both r thinking dat he is changed n sud be given a chance so it will be his only test. If he fails then he will lose his only chance n prove dat he is still d same," said Zoya.

"Okay, I am wid u but take care," said Matt.

"Sure," said Zoya.

Their attention went 2wards pool n they were shocked to see dat Asad was now shirtless n playing water volley-ball game wid some guys. They went near d pool.

"Asad, wat r u doing?" asked Zoya.

"These guys insisted me to play so I agreed," replied Asad.

"U r comfortable na?" asked Zoya thinking how he was embarrassed to wear pool clothes.

"Not at all, Zoya. In dis pool party, I am sure none of d guests will be uncomfortable cuz u r the host. As u said, I don't need to worry as everyone will be like dis here," replied Asad.

Zoya was impressed wid his reply but controlled her smiled.

"Well enjoy," said Zoya.

She saw some girls cheering for Asad n talking abt his six-packs. She was jealous a little n blushed but brushed it off thinking she sud not be thinking like dis abt him.

D party went on till some afternoon. Wen it was time to leave, Zoya came to Asad.

"How was d party?" asked Zoya.

"It was nice," replied Asad, "I actually enjoyed talking wid some new people n playing wid them. I realized wat all fun I missed for several years. Thanks a lot for inviting me."

"U welcome," said Zoya, "Bye."

"Bye," said Asad before going to d parking.

Next day, Zoya called Asad in d cabin to talk to him alone.

"Asad, I think u r doing a lots of efforts for wanting a chance to win me. I think I sud give you a chance. But I don't think u can do wat I want," said Zoya wid a conspiring smile.

"I will do wat u want, Zoya to win ur trust," said Asad.

"Asad, Will You Be In A Live-In Relationship With Me?" asked Zoya.

Asad was shocked.

"No need to be shocked, Asad. I only asked u to be in live-in relationship wid me not to have sex wid me. Its legal in India also but here its not a big deal. Vo kya hai na, Asad. Cuz of Akram & u, I have lost my belief in marriage. It may take a lots of efforts to believe in marriage again. So, if we r in a live-in relationship for some time we can figure out dat whether our relationship will work or not. So, we sud have live-in relationship for a month. U have only 1 month to prove dat u have truly changed. If u hurt me then u will lost ur only chance. I will never give u chance again. I am actually takn a risk of giving you a chance by letn u cumn so close to me. So, do u agree or not?" asked Zoya boldly.

Asad was again shocked wid wat all she said. If she had even talked abt live-in relationship earlier he wud have judged her wrongly n insulted but now even if she is involving him n herself in a live-in relationship he is not getn even a little bit angry on her. He knows dat she is modern but he did not knew dat she supported things like live-in relationship. May be she was afraid to say it to him due to his nature dat he will insult her. He thinks dat may be dis is d chance for him to prove his love for Zoya so he sud agree.

"I agree," replied Asad calmly, "I don't know wat else u planned for me but I only know dis much dat I can't let go of dis chance. I am ready for dis live-in relationship."

"Well, we will live in my farmhouse not in my family's house. Dis live-in relationship will be secret between us n my friends. Our families sud not know abt dis," said Zoya.

"Okay, I will not tell anyone," said Asad.

"Well, u can get ur visa extended for a month. If u fail in ur chance n hurt me in any way then I will get u deported to ur country d same way u did to me after accusing me of trying to kill my so-called step-sister. Tab main tumhe rokne k liye vaha aakar fake engagement nahi karungi," said Zoya reminding Asad of his act 2 years ago.

Asad was ashamed wid wat he did n regretted for it.

"U don't need to worry, Zoya. I will make sure dat I will not give you a chance to deport me. I got a chance & I don't want to waste it," said Asad.

"I like ur confidence. I hope u know how live-in couples live," said Zoya.

"They live 2gthr in a room n share d housework like a married couple," said Asad.

"At least, u know sumthn. I thought u will only order me to do housework while u only sit like other typical men who can't even get a glass of water on their own," said Zoya.

"I am not like them, Zoya," said Asad.

"Lets see," said Zoya, "By d way, I have a maid here to take care of work but sometimes d maid can't come for some reason then we will only have to work."

"I know wat u mean," said Asad.

"Well, then meet me at my place in d evening wid ur things," said Zoya.

Next Shot: This is my I mean our room.

A/N: Zoya is a little good with Asad helping him to be comfortable in the pool party because she is not supposed to be a villain. Najma was justified in being jealous with Ayaan because normally if our sibling is cool with other sibling but stern with us we will be mad at them and jealous with that other sibling and here Ayaan is step but still Asad has fun with him but not the same with Najma who is Asad's real but still he is stern with her instead of behaving like an actual sibling. Zoya is finding hard to trust Asad because it was broken a lots of time in the past by him but still she decided to him a last chance. As for changes in Asad, he has really changed as he said 2 years is a long time for that.
