hey everyone trying to do my part to cheer up our beloved ikrs family.
i live in the caribbean where zeetv is practically the only known hindi channel until last year when other hindi channels were introduced. i remember just flipping the channel onto colors and seeing a serial where a woman in a white sari is beating another young girl for having colors on her sari. i was intrigued. what was the crime? who was these women? then i saw a brooding and later happy go lucky naughty male lead who is reflecting on his actions but continue to pursue the girl in white with his pranks (the alchohol in the jar). i looked up the synopsis and saw it was about a spoilt brat whose life changes forever due to his love for a widow. i have never heard of mishal and never seen his shows but i was hooked to this simple yet powerful story. it was like a fairytale in the midst of all the saas bahu shows, pull and tug , office romances and supernatural stuff. i immediately went online watched the previous episodes, watched the promos and the launch interviews and from there it was no turning back.

mishal and eisha grew on me and although negativity was always there the presence of these two and the knowledge of them ending up together and the character of dhaani becoming an inspiration for other widows made the show interesting and exciting to watch.

thanks to mishal and eisha for living vidha and carrying us on a wonderful journey. in a perfect world any ph should cast them back together. sorry for the long rant😊just wondering what was your first episode of ikrs?

MY first episode was also by chance ...never see Indian shows that too Colors channel.

While flipping thru channels came across an intriguing name of the show - Ishq ka ...

changed to it and the episode was Tanya convincing Viplav to help the Ashram ladies.. Dhani calls Viplav from a public booth and he asks her to email the papers...

It was the concept of the Benaras widows was the first thing that struck me and of course then it was the leads...

It was much later I caught up on the prior episodes.

Hi ratna... Hi pvantic...
Contrary to channel watching.. IKRS caught me like fire due to India forums... And specially Hamletz take on the episodes...

Started watching IKRS only from December 2015.. But I made sure caught up the rest on net in the meanwhile.

Good memories...
Yes .. Pvantic any other ph wouldn't cast anyone else than them... But life is like that.. And no one is indispensable.

Cheers to IKRS as long as it lasts... And cheers to mishal for portraying that character... Am in awe of him

Such a lovely post dear...We are so much in love with this couple..oh...don't know what to say...they were part of our life for the past 10 months..I was watching ikrs from day one...As you said...while flipping through the channels, got to see its promo...Got attracted to the theme..Then checked details of the show online..the fact that the female lead is only 16 and the concept of a boy falling madly in love with a widow made me watch the show...i never knew about Mishal before...not seen any of his earlier shows..I never ever thought that I will get so attached to a show or a pair so much...Still not able to get over the pain of losing Vidha..Not watching the show from 30th May as I can't see someone else as Dhani and Viplav with someother lady..Heard that he is even married to that Kamini...Why did cv's tarnish our Viplav's image..Why do they show negative characters always winning???.I think I should stop complaining..I am spoiling my mood morning itself...

Anyways Mishal and Eisha gave us so much...We had a wonderful time with our lovely pair Vidha..Will keep watching the earlier episodes and be happy with it..Thanks to Mishal and Eisha for giving us Viplav and Dhani..Love them both..

Thanks for the great post. It allows us to share the love for our show, much needed. While flipping channel I saw the promo where a man wearing the brightest blue and a very sober looking girl in white and the colorful ghat background, well love at first sight.
Though we had many beautiful episodes for me the 2nd episode of them checking each other out middle of everything and the VIP comes to say hi.. Wow always be grateful I watched a Hindi serial and enjoyed the journey so much though never had proper closing.
Hurt by the speed at where things changed so fast proves it's all about business for every body involved. Except We the fans suffered so much which nobody cares.
Such a beautiful sorry with great casts potential to be one of the classic was destroyed by the creators for what?
Thanks to Mishal & Eisha for this journey we all enjoyed so much for the past 10 months.

My journey of IKRS started from a telly buzz article on IF...vividly remember the line " VIPLAV & DHANI ARE THE TALK OF TOWN" which caught my attention. It was almost a month since the show had started. Curiously I looked up for the show online, story seemed interesting & difft., watched
the promos & loved it. Started watching... My first epi. was Vip saving Dhani from drowning on the day he was supposed to get engaged to Tanya.
Oh my, going back to those episodes & reliving them gives me goosebumps...they were epic.
From then on, never looked back, watched most of the previous episodes...sadly I have missed the very beginning ones😕
As I began watching, Mishal completely bowled me over with his performance.
Had never heard about him before... So looked up his profile & watched his IVs... the more I learnt,
the more I liked him. Found out about his other shows...started watching his hit show LTL, but stopped after a few episodes.
Am waiting to watch the rest when this show is done.

As for ES, she was a newcomer, looked fresh...but MR dominated the screen space..
but as the story progressed Eisha's acting also improved & their chemistry stood out the most.
ViDha will always be MiSha to me.

Wonderful post, Pvanatic! 👍🏼 My first glimpse into Vidhaland happened very randomly. I was back at home flipping through channels on the dish and came across a very pretty young lady clad in white hiding in someone's car. I remember watching a vivacious man's startled reaction on finding this pretty young lady. 😊 It was the pull these two characters had for one another that had me hooked. They're continuous banter intensified their obvious chemistry. I was intrigued by Dhani's character from the very first moment. I had watched Deepa Mehta's Water years ago. Water was a very intense, moving, and depressing film. I wanted to see how IKRS would be presented to the audience and how the makers would tackle the social issues around widows and their emancipation. I wasn't wowed over Viplav in that first episode. 😆 I had never heard of Mishal before this drama. I knew that Lagi Tujhse Lagan was a very popular show back in the day on Colours, but I didn't know he was the male lead from LTL. As I watched the episodes for that week, I realized that Mishal was a very good actor and quite convincing in his role. I loved Eisha's portrayal of a mature, subdued, and submissive widow who had been adhering to the unjust rules of society without any opposition. As I continued watching IKRS, I was in awe of Viplav's character and fell in love with Mishal's portrayal of his character. ❤️ I had never come across an actor with such versatility on Indian television. Mohnish Behl, Ram Kapoor, and Ronit Roy are all great actors, but they're older and have blossomed from their vast experience doing television and films. As I became an ardent fan of the show, I fell more in love with ViDha each day. Their love story was unlike any other love story I had seen before. I made an instant connection with the characters. The rest is all history. 😊

well I have been watching IKRS from day 1.. this is my 3rd show of MR.. i was happy to see Mishal back after a long time in a daily show whose initial promos seemed to be very interesting..
The two most memorable dialogue from the promos - "tum uparwale se dua maang rahi ho aur hum uparwale se tumhe" and "Dhani, tumhe toh mein apna bana kar rahunga" made him believe that we will be getting another epic show of MR.. So I started watching it.. had to bear all the silliest tracks and unbelievably idiotic Shambhu murders and all to have a glimpse of MR daily.. and still now i am sitting and watching the current episodes daily at 6:30 even after the horrible, pathetic IKRS PH people played that stupid joke on us by first separating our lead couple and then changing the female lead😡

On the 11th of August last year was waiting for my son to come back from school early coz it was exam time. At around 10:15 a.m. I decided to put on the TV and channel surf and Colors came on screen. What did I see but a young girl in pristine white , freshly bathed and a brash arrogant handsome hunk almost challenging her! The contrast between these two kept me spell bound and I decided to see the episode till the end.
I'll admit did not know any of these actors or who they were. Did not see the promos either before that. But something fresh in that episode made it attractive to me-someone who was never fond of serial watching let alone Hindi ones.
Next day again I happened to be in front of the TV at the same time. My sons exams were still on. And I loved the episode.- the majestic ghats, the serenity of the ashram, the simplicity of Dhani, her charm , innocence and beauty along with Viplav's antics and to top it all the symbolic colour throwing sequence engulfed me in its magic and I was hooked to it. And then I started watching the show every evening. The earlier two were repeat telecasts. Thus began my lovestory with IKRS!
After that barring a couple of episodes I've never missed any so far.
Thanks for this lovely post which allowed me to share the start of my journey with this show which I'm still watching despite all the chaos that has happened and all the heartache that I've suffered.
