Khushi was making up her bed before going to sleep. Though it was a hectic day fer her, she wasn't feeling tired. All her exhaustion vanished the moment Arnav had said 'I wanted to tell this since morning... Tum achhi lag rahi ho...!' You are looking nice! She was so happy! She had been expecting that since morning... and he said it finally! Khushi was very excited. She was listening to the radio... and the song made her smile... remembering Arnav again... She couldn't stop humming the song...

Kuchh khaas hai, kuchh paas hai...

Kuchh ajnabi ehsaas hai...

Kuchh dooriyan, nazdikiyan...

Kuchh hass padi tanhaaiyan...

Kya yeh khumaar hai, kya aitbaar hai,

Shayad yeh pyaar hai, pyaar hai shayad...

Just then Garima entered the room. Seeing Khushi moving to the rhythm of the song and humming along, blushing, Garima was more angry and worried. "Khushi..." she said distracting Khushi from the song, "did you take the medicines beta?"

Khushi stopped blushing and made a serious face. "Yes Amma, I did!" she said.

"Badi khush lag rahi ho aaj tum... Baat kya hai?" asked Garima teasing her. You look very happy today... Anything special? Though Garima knew the reason very well, she wanted to listen it from Khushi.

Khushi looked at Garima, surprised... "No Amma... nothing special... main toh buss aise hi..." I was just...

"Khushi, don't try to fool me... Don't forget I am your Amma...! Even the slightest change in you can not go unnoticed by me!!" said Garima.

"What change Amma?? Mere toh kuchh samajh mein nahi aa raha hai...!" said Khushi deviating from the topic. I don't understand anything.

"Khushi, I can clearly see that you have changed after the event for Mamta orphanage...!" said Garima.

That was the day when Aman had told Khushi about Arnav, about Karan and Sheetal. It was the day Khushi came to know the reason behind Arnav's behaviour.

"Amma, nothing has changed... See, I am the same! Why do you think I have changed?" said Khushi looking away from Garima.

Garima held Khushi by both her arms and made her sit on the bed, herself sitting beside Khushi. "Khushi, sach sach batao..." said Garima worried, "tumhare aur Arnav Singh Raizada ke beech kya chal raha hai?" Tell me the truth, what's going on between Arnav Singh Raizada and you?

Khushi was shocked to hear that. "Amma," she said, "Aisa kuchh nahi hai jaisa tum soch rahi ho... there is nothing like that!!"

"If there is nothing like that, then where were you both today? What was it that took you so long to reach home, Khushi?!"

"Amma... I have already told you that we waited outside his home, we were chatting. Actually, Arnav Sir was very upset and he felt like sharing his sorrow with me... that's all! And I am not telling you about it because I have promised him that I will not tell anyone...!" explained Khushi.

"Jhooth!!" said Garima, "Sab jhooth kaha hoga ussne!! I know such people very well... I am sure he must have lied to you...!!"

Khushi felt bad. "No Amma!! He didn't lie... I know him!!" she tried to defend Arnav.

Garima was shocked. "Achha?!" she exclaimed. "Do-chaar mahino mein itna jaanne lagi ho tum usay?!! The guy, whom you once hated more than anything, suddenly became a good person?!!! Isn't it surprising?!!" said Garima sarcastically.

"Amma, tab main nahi jaanti thi unhein... I didn't know him then, but now I do!! Believe me Amma, he really is a good person!" said Khushi, trying to convince Garima.

Khushi had become restless now as Garima was speaking against Arnav.

Garima noticed this. She calmed herself down, took a deep breath and said softly, "Khushi, please don't take me in the wrong way... See beta, I am not saying that Arnav is a wrong person... but neither can I say that he is a good person because I haven't known him so much as to decide about him."

Khushi couldn't keep quiet, "But Amma, I know him!! He is..."

"Khushi... listen to what I am saying beta..." said Garima. "Look Khushi, I can understand that these things happen at your age... But you need to be very careful beta." Garima paused as Khushi listened reluctantly. "Try to understand, Khushi... People like Arnav Singh Raizada are not those of our type... See Khushi, we belong to a middle-class family. These rich people with big names might assume that we can easily be trapped by them. You are innocent Khushi, you still haven't seen the dark world around. Today he is with you, sharing his sorrow with you, tomorrow he might find some other girl..." Khushi was not ready to accept this. Garima knew that from Khushi's expressions. Garima calmly said, "I am not blaming Arnav, I can't... because I don't know him enough... But you are with him throughout the day... Don't make mistake in recognising people Khushi... Nothing is more important than your happiness for us... I just want to see you happy dear... I can't bear your pain. I don't want your heart to be broken. That's why I am just warning you." said Garima.

Khushi was overwhelmed to see how much Garima cared for her. She could understand Garima's worry.

Garima held Khushi's face in her palms and said, "And you know what, I have complete faith in you Khushi. We trust you and we know that you won't do any wrong. And I believe that whatever decision you take, will always be the right one!!" Garima smiled. Khushi smiled too as her eyes watered seeing how much her Amma, her family believed in her.

Khushi held Garima's hands in hers and said, "Amma, tum fikar mut karna... Main har faisla soch samajhkar loongi... You won't get a chance to complain!!" Khushi assured Garima. Amma, don't you worry... I will take every decision only after a proper thought. Both smiled. Khushi hugged Garima, "Love you Amma!!" she said.

"Love you too beta!!" said Garima as she hugged back.

Arnav woke up at the sound of his alarm. He was feeling fresh today... The burden of hatred towards Nilima was gone now. He felt free... free from the veil he had put upon himself... free from the restrictions to express freely... He could breathe the freshness in the morning air. He felt good to think of himself as not a bad person. Someone had said to him that he was a good person, and that circumstances had made him think in the wrong way. And he believed in it! He believed more in himself. He believed he could change the world around. He believed he could make someone happy. He believed that life was a beautiful place. And he knew that there was someone to support him... to guide him. There was someone who understood him. A smile that spoke of self-belief spread across his lips. He woke up with all new enthusiasm and got ready to go for his usual jog. Usual, yet unusual...!

It seemed like the beginning of a new life altogether. He couldn't believe how a few right thoughts could change life so much...! He felt more energetic with his every step. The morning air filled him with freshness. He felt as if the birds were singing to his rhythm, and the wind was blowing with him. He felt as if the trees on both sides bowed down to welcome him into his new life and the clear blue sky was showering its blessings upon him. And he could see the orange sphere with a golden tinge rising from the front, as if looking at him and saying, "Go my boy! I am always there with you!!"

Arnav felt rejuvenated as he reached back home. He entered the gate. What the!!! A splash of water on him made him stand at his place. He just looked at his wet jersey and then threw a glance in front to see Riya holding the water pipe. She was watering the plants in the garden and sprayed water on Arnav by mistake. She had not seen him coming. Riya was very scared looking at Arnav's angry face. She dropped down the pipe and slowly stepped back. Arnav was still staring at her as he took steps forward. Riya's heart thumping as Arnav approached towards her. Payal who was looking for Riya came to the main door to see angry Arnav moving towards a scared Riya. Payal saw the wet jersey of Arnav and understood what might have happened. "Devi Maiyya, yeh kya ho gaya...!!! You shouldn't have done that Riya!!" she thought. "Pata nahi ab kya hoga...!!" Don't know what will happen now! Payal was worried for Riya. She quickly began walking towards Riya but suddenly stopped at her place. She was pleasantly surprised to see the scene in front. The anger on Arnav's face was replaced by a mischievous smile as his eyes twinkled. He picked up the water-pipe and splashed water on Riya. Both were laughing, enjoying playing in the cool water. Payal was very happy to see Arnav laugh heartily. She quickly called Akash, Anup and Nilima to see the scenario. Ajinkya and Lavanya too came out to see what was going on. Everyone enjoyed watching Arnav in the playful mood. They were glad that now they could hope for the return of the Arnav who was lost somewhere, return of their Arnav...!!

After getting completely drenched, Arnav came in. Lavanya stood at the door with towel. She gave the towel to Arnav as he came there. She smiled at him.

"Good Morning Arnav!" she greeted.

Arnav smiled at her, "Good Morning Lavanya!" he said and went to his room.

Lavanya was surprised. She was very happy, "Yess!!! Arnav wished me... that too with a smile...!! ha!!" she thought as she went in.

Arnav got ready to go to office. He prayed to the idol of Devi Maiyya just like every other day. He touched the Anup's feet to take his blessings.

"Jeete raho!" said Anup. Bless you!

Now everyone knew he would leave for office. But something more happened that left everyone surprised. Arnav walked towards Nilima, looking down at the floor, and touched her feet too. Nilima was shocked, so much that she even forgot to bless Arnav. Arnav left without looking at Nilima even once. He still didn't have the courage to look into her eyes, he still felt ashamed, he felt guilty. Nilima stood at her place, stunned. Her eyes watered. Anup placed his hand on her shoulder and smiled. He knew how happy Nilima was. And not only Nilima, everyone was happy.

Saalon se jo kho gaya tha kahin,

Aaj phir dekh li uski ek jhalak...

Umeed hai woh laut aayega humaare paas...

Jiss ka intezaar karte rahein aaj tak...!!
