Khushi smiled silently standing at her place, remembering Arnav's words... I wanted to tell this since morning... Tum achhi lag rahi ho...! Khushi was blushing. Garima saw it. She was worried and angry too at the same time.

"Khushi!!" she called her in anger. Khushi stopped smiling and walked to the door. "Yeh koi waqt hai ghar aane ka?" scolded Garima. Is this the time to return home? Khushi remained silent. "And why didn't you come with Shyam? What was so important that you had to wait?" Garima asked.

"Amma..." explained Khushi, "Arnav Sir wanted to have an urgent meeting... and..."

Garima interrupted, "Kal bhi toh le sakte thay woh meeting... Why does he conduct meetings after the working hours?!" Garima was angry.

"Yeh toh meri bhi samajh mein nahi aaya... Why did he called for the meeting so urgently?" said Khushi thoughtfully. "We could have had the meeting tomorrow too..." Khushi was confused. "But Amma, you know what? Good that we had the discussion today... we came to know about two major issues that need to be solved soon...!! And for that I needed this file..." told Khushi showing the file in her hand. She continued, "But this file was with Arnav Sir at his home... So we collected the file from his home and then he came to drop me"

Garima was still unhappy... "Why don't you understand Khushi... You are..." The ring of Khushi's phone interrupted Garima.

Khushi looked at the screen of her phone... "Aman Sir?!!" she was confused looking at the name of the caller. She picked up the call... "Yes Sir?"

She heard a worried voice of Aman, "Khushi, is Arnav with you by any chance??"

Khushi replied, "Sir, he dropped me and left for home just now...!"

Aman was relieved... "Okay... okay... good!" Khushi was confused wondering why Aman had called her.

"Err... is everything okay Sir? You seem tensed...!" said Khushi.

"Actually Arnav has left his phone at home" explained Aman, "and you both left home around 8. Arnav has still not returned home. So everyone was worried. They tried to call him but his phone was at home... They didn't have your number, so they called me to find out where Arnav was. That's why I called you."

"There's nothing to worry about, Sir... Arnav Sir will reach home in about ten minutes!" told Khushi.

As the call ended, Garima and others were curiously looking at Khushi to know why Aman had called her at this time. Khushi explained the reason. Now Garima was more worried and suspicious.

"What?!" she exclaimed, "You both left at 8 and you are reaching home at 9:45!! You should have been here latest by 8:30. Where have you been Khushi? What were you doing all this time?!!"

Khushi was somewhat shocked at Garima's question. "Amma... don't worry... Hum log Arnav Sir ke ghar ke baahar hi thay... Actually Arnav Sir wanted to talk to me about..." Khushi paused. She remembered what Arnav had said... Please don't tell anyone that I cried in front of you, okay? Khushi continued, "Err... he wanted to tell me something important!! That took some time... that's why we were late...!"

"And what important thing was it that he wanted to tell you?" asked Garima suspiciously.

"Sorry Amma" said Khushi, "but I can't tell that...! I have promised him that I won't tell anyone...!"

Everyone was shocked. Garima couldn't believe it. "You can't tell about it, Khushi?!!" she said.

"Believe me Amma," said Khushi, "if I had not promised him, I would surely have told you everything!"

Garima was still not satisfied. "Enough Khushi... you are not understanding that..."

Shashi interrupted... "Garima...! Let her atleast come inside... She must be tired and hungry too...!" Garima didn't say anything.

Khushi went to her room to change wondering... "Amma ko kya ho gaya hai? What's wrong with Amma today?!"

Arnav reached home. Everyone was waiting for him to return. They were a bit relieved after Aman informed them that Arnav was on his way. Arnav entered in and saw everyone waiting in the drawing room.

Lavanya hurried toward him, "Where have you been Arnav?!" she asked, "We all were so worried!"

As expected by everyone, Arnav walked past her without answering. He stopped as he came across Nilima. She seemed the most worried of all. He had no guts to look into her eyes. He just looked down as he stood near her. "Sorry..." he said to no one in particular. But he meant it for Nilima. "I should have informed...!" he said and walked to his room. Everyone stood shocked at their places. Arnav said "sorry" today?! Really?!

Arnav changed, freshened up and sat on the bed closing his eyes. He was still thinking on Khushi's words about Nilima. He had regret in his heart. He felt bad for all that he had done to Nilima. His eyes became wet. There was a knock on his door. He opened his eyes and saw Lavanya standing at the door.

"Come Arnav, dinner is ready! Everyone is waiting!!" she said smiling.

"Tum chalo, main aata hoon...!" he said. You go ahead, I will be there...

"Come soon!" said Lavanya and went away.

"Didn't you hear what she said?!" Garima was angry at Khushi. "She denied telling anything!!" said Garima as she kept the plates on the table for dinner.

"Garima..." said Shashi trying to calm her down, "kum se kum apni beti pe toh vishwas rakho! We must believe in our girl! She can never do anything wrong... we know it!" Garima was still not ready to listen.

"Shashi theek keh raha hai Garima..." Dadi agreed with Shashi... "He is right! We know our Khushi very well!"

"Theek hai" said Garima finally. "Fine, she hasn't done anything wrong... I know! But I don't want her to do anything wrong in future too! I need to talk to her right now!" said Garima as she began walking towards Khushi's room.

Shashi stopped her... "Garima, wait! Let's have dinner first...! Phir tum uss se aaraam se baat kar lena...!" said Shashi. Dadi nodded in agreement.

Garima served food in the plates. Khushi came down after changing. She seemed very excited since the morning. She had worn a constant smile on her face. And Garima, Shashi and Dadi knew very well the reason behind the smile.

Arnav came down for dinner. Everyone was waiting for him.

"Aagaye tum beta..!" said Anup with a smile. "Come everyone, let's begin!" he said as everyone took their places.

Nilima was sitting across Arnav, but not once did he look at her. He just couldn't. He took the first bite and his eyes were wet. With great difficulty he held back his tears from flowing down. He kept looking downward so that no one noticed his wet eyes. He cleared his throat and said... "Sabzi achhi hai...!" The curry is good! This was yet another shock for everyone. Arnav appreciated the food!!

"Maa has prepared it today!!" informed Payal.

"I know!" said Arnav still looking down. "I can recognize that by the taste... Pehli baar thode hi kha raha hoon...!" he said.

Arnav's reply surprised everyone. Nilima was pleasantly shocked. Her eyes watered. This was the first ever time Arnav had appreciated her. She was very happy.

Tumse sun ke yeh taareef ke shabd...

Mili hai mujhe aaj behadd khushi...

Ab intezaar hai mujhe uss din ka...

Jis din bol padegi yeh khaamoshi...
