Chapter 6
Jalal was reading a newspaper it eh drawing room. He was having a week holiday for his marriage. He thought in this week he will try to know his newly wedded wife more, but now it feels like life itself now a big lie for him.
A thud noise makes him aware. He looks up for the source. But couldn't find one. Suddenly he hears Jodha's voice. Aaahhh.. She was crying. He understand and run towards the roof but couldn't see the water on the stairs.. so...
When Jalal reached he saw jodha grabbing her legs crying sitting on the stairs. Her hand was also injured by the railing of the stairs. Without any second thought he scooped her in his arms and started to go down.
The world around her started to spin. She is in his arms. She never felt this kind of sensation. She is feeling like she is a delicate flower and he pluck her and cover with cotton wrapper. She looked at him properly for the first time now. His white kurta -pyjama was stick with his body and giving a full view of his well built chest throughout. She feels her whole body started to shiver with his touch. But this is complete bliss to her. Jalal was still having her in his arms.
Mirza just after shower come to dining room to watch his fav boxing match, when he saw the newly wedded duo having each other romance time. He was grinning silently and ran to call her mom to watch this scene.
Jalal suddenly looked at jodha. She was looking at him with amaze in her eyes. She doesn't know what she is feeling for him. But now being in his arms one thing she confirmed to herself that the love she had for her lover is not at all love, but an infatuation merely. But now being in his arms she is feeling now a fresh one and defiantly a permanent one.
Mirza took Hamida to hall and she saw his son was scooped his wife in his arms protectively. She wants to laugh. But cant. But she is happy to see his son who doesn't give attention to girls now held his wife in his arms. She indicates M to move away from the hall to give them privacy.
Jalal puts her down reaching his room. Make her sit. Without any talk he took her ankle. He took the cotton absorbing water and gently rubbing on her ankle. She hissed in pain and grabbed his shoulder. He controlled himself. He took Volini spray. And spray on her ankle and tell her to cover it. He was about to go out. When he hear a sweet voice uttered.
"I am sorry"
He stopped. He defiantly realise for which reason she is telling him sorry. But he thought to ignore. Again he was about to movie she held her hand tight.
"mujhe woh sab kehna nahi chahiye tha tumse. I am sorry!"
Now Jalal got frustrated and blasted on her.
"tumhe main koi toy dikhta hu? Ya meri shakal circus ki sher jaisi hai jo ringmaster k chabuk se uchal kud karta hai. Agar yad na ho to main yad diladu Ms. Jodha Chaudhary in our wedding night you are the one who said that you have a relation with some other person. You know how much it pained me. No, and you never know. After that we had an agreement to be friends and be like husband-wife in front of the world. Then today's incident and your words. You are the person who is making difficult me to be your husband in front of the world also. I know aj job hi hua that was a weak moment but you yourself confirmed that it's all about again."
Jodha feared to know this side of Jalal. Her mother always told that Jalal is a cold minded strong headed person never got angry easily but here he was blasting. But he called her Ms. Jodha chaudhary, not misses Jodha Muhammad. It pains her a lot. Her eyes got moist. She thought that means she hurt him to that extent that he loses his temper.
Seeing her teary eyes he controlled himself a bit.
"dekho jodha tumne hi mujhe kaha tha ke tum kisis or se pyaar karti ho. But tumne uske sath jane se mana kar dia. Ok i don't have any problem. Ab tum mujhe bhi chain se rehne nahi de rahi ho. Har bar yeh jatana zaruri nahi ki humare beech kuch nahi ahi. Main m,an chukka hu ye baat. Ab kya karu? Tumse dur rahu na? Yehi chahti ho tum? To ok main rahunga dur tumse. Na main tumhare paas aunga na tumpe haq jataunga,. Tum jaise rehna hai reh sakti ho but meri or tumhari family ke samne thoda samhal ke rehna. I don't want they all come t know about us."
She sat their numb. His all words are like poison to her. Now she started to like him, accept him as her husband. And now he was detaching himself from her. Cutting all his warmnees to her.
Jalal again said, "Jodha aaj meri cousin Derhadoon se Kolkata aa rahi hai 1 mahine ke lie. Uske saamne tum as my wife behave zyada mat karna. Normal rehna ok/ waise bhi ab mujhe tumse koi ummeed nahi hai." He sat on the nearby chair.
waise bhi ab mujhe tumse koi ummeed nahi hai' the words itself is enough to break her apart. Her all feelings detached from her soul. Her husband doesn't expect any care or love from her? She thought. But it only her mistake. Now she can recognise her feelings for Jalal. She now can understand why she wants herself to him today morning. She gathered her courage and asks,
"kya aap kisi or se pyar karte hai?
A happy tear was sparkling on her eyes. Hamida advices he to make jalal's fav dishes because as people said the door towards husband's heart goes through their stomach. She said to prepare food for Ruqaiyaa also because she was coming here after two years.
Jodha was making the doe for Puri and on the other hand handling the pressure cooker which contains Mutton Kasha. She was making her husband's fav food. Yes, after Jalal's answer she now can easily accept him as her husband.
Flashback
"kya aap kisi or se pyar karte hai?"
Jalal turn around in shock. "what? Kya keh rahi ho tum? Pagal ho gayi ho kya?"
"nahi aap aise mujhse behave kia so i thought ke aap ko main pasand nahi."
"tum mujhe pasand nahi. Woh main hu jo tumhe pasand nahi aya tha. Tum ek chalti firti diasater ho u know that? SR ke raat woh tum thi jisne mujhe apne paaas ane se roka."
Jodha stood their without any answer.
"And for your kind information, main kisi ladki se pyaar nhi karta. Um meri zindagi me ane wali pehli or akhri ladki ho." He said those words with tears in his eyes. His voice gets choked. Before he breaks down he got out of the room
Jodha's face became bright as a bride. Yes she is happy. Because with his words he definite that he is only hers. He loves her. That why hurt by her words. Now she has to rectify her mistake.
Afternoon
"tumne shaadi karli or mujhe bataya bhi nahi. Thats not fair jalal!" Ruqaiyaa said encircling her arms on his neck.
Jodha was gripping her juice glass tight as if she wants to break it with her fist. The way she encircle her arms around Jalal she got a negative vibes. yeh kuch zyada hi gale nahi padh rahi hai ye jalal ke . Or ye jalal bhi. Woh mera pati hai ya uska. Churail kahiki!!! Zyada jalal se chipki to iske sare baal noch lungi main. She thought and fuming in anger.
Jalal was watching her expression change. From frown to annoyed and now anger. Right now she is fuming in anger. He could see she is jealous with his closeness towards Ruqaiyaa. He thought for some time. A smirk played on his lips. "tumne mujhe bohot sataya hai jodha ab tumhari bari. Ab age age dekho hota hai kya? " he thought.
"waise apa apko to night club jana pasand hai na? Mirza asked xitedly.
"ha mirza bohot, jab graduation ke lie delhi methi tab to har week end pe jate the hum sare friends. Bt derhadoon me to night clubs zyada ha nahi to..." Ruqaiyaa said sadly.
wah! Kya mouka mila hai! Is jodha ko maza chakane ka. Ab dekhte hai, kab ak sehti ho yeh jealousy tourture.' Jalal thought "waise Ruqaiyaa ek akam karte hai parso Saturday hai, toh hum sab night club chalet hai" jalal said.
Jodha's mouth fell open like an O. Jalal & night club? yeh sabkya hai kanha?' she thought and is chrail ko jane ke lie koi or jagha nahi mili thi?' she frowned. Jalal notice this.
Mirza's eyes gone wide. Teasingly said, "Bhaijaan kya humne sahi suna?" then stand-up and stood like a reporter in the field he started, "kyaa aap wohi Jalaluddin muhammad hai jisne kabhi apne hi bhai ko disco me jane se isliye roka ke kahi woh ghar pe sharab na peeke aye?" Mirza forworded his fist like a boom.
"Just shut up mirza. Main to apnipyari Ruqaiyaa ke lie jana chahta hu, do saal bad ayi hai yaha yar."
Jodha want to hit Jalal's head to some nearby wall or throw her glass on his head on that moment. "haaawww!! How dare he call her meri pyari Ruqaiyaa'!!! pyaari my foot. Woh mere pati hai you dayan!!! Aagggrhh!! " jodha got frustrated.
"bhabi aap bhi chaliye na humare sath." Mirza said with full excitement. Ruqaiyaa somehow don't like Jodha for being jalal's wife. She was watching them for quite a long time and with their gesture she can easily say taht Jalal is unhappy with her. So she want to apply her love dose on Jalal, as she loves Jalal for a long time but can't tell him.
"nahi mirxza yeh kya keh rahe ho. Jodha ko aise mahol ka andaza nahi hai, or shayad pasand bhi na ho aisi jagha." Jalal said to mirza
"nahi mirza. Count on me. Main to zaroor aungi. Kya pata mere pati ko koi sharab na pilade mohobbat ka!!" she glared at ruqaiyaar and give a meeky smile to Jalal.
"Why not Jodha" at last Ruqaiyaa said. " you all will enjoy" waise jodha tumhare paas disco me jane ke lie kapde to honge na? I mean u can't come to disco wearing salwar suit or saree. You know!!"
"Ruqaiyaa, main bhale hi disco kabhi na gayi hu, but i know what should wear and what its dress code. And rahi baat saree ki, i feel all mens like a woman in sare, coz maine kahi magazineme padha tha, that according to most of the ment saree makes a woman more hot & sexy. So agar hum saree disco me pehne to mahol or bhi acha ho jayega . hai na?" jodha said glaring at Jalal.
Yah she too right. She looks damn sexy on sari. I hope kabhi aisi sexy sari jodha bhi pehne.' Thought jalal
Mirza could easily sense that his bhabi is a bit jealous of ruqaiyaa's closeness to Jalal and his duffer bhai is also co operating which annoying hs bhabi. He made a plane to close jalal & jodha.
"bhabi, don't worry. Aap bas bhai se unka credit card le lijiye. Aapke disco ki dress main khud dilaunga. " mirza winked at jodha.
Jodha can easily get that mirza had a plan for her. "wooow! Thanks mirza. U are such a darling!!" jodha pull mirza's cheek for which Jalal got annoyed.

Next day Afternoon
SBI Branch Mullickbazaar
During lunch break hour there was a hustle bustle among all the employees of the branch. Jalal is back cutting his one week holiday n between. All of them were curious about his newly married life. But as usual Jalal don't have any answers for their questions.
Sujoy, the head of the account department asked, "My dear jalal! Tum jaisi unromantic banda maine aj tak nahi dekha. Apni nayi naveli badhu ko chod tum is paise ke sath premleela me magan ho? That not fare!"
Jalal who was counting the notes in his cash drawer which just drafted by the nominees. After counting and writing their amount above the notes and binding it with a rubber band he said, "yaar ab mujhe apne biwi se zyada apne job se pyaar hai to main kya karu, dil hai mera aa gaya job pe. Or wase bhi agar biwi gayi to fir ek or aa sakti hai. But ek bar Govt. Job gayi to khud khuda bhi use mere paas wapas nahi laa sakte. Ab isme mera hi fayda hai ke main apne biwi se zyada job se pyaar karu."
All burst out in laughter. The manager of the branch Manohar ji said, "bhai log. Jin jin kuwaro ki abhi tak shadi nahi hui hai hai wooh yeh dard nahi samjhenge. But main to pichle 20 saal se apni machine (biwi) ki repairing me laga hua hu. Koi asha ki kiran nazar to nahi aati. Waise bhi ajeeb chees hai ye biwiyaa, jitni bhi paise khae apni pati ki jeb kaatke fir bhi bhookhi hi rehti hai."
Again all bust out in to laughter. This time Jalal also can't resist himself. But their chat had an interaption. Their ion Hariya said there is someone in the gat wan to meet Jalal saab. Jalal said him to send him in.
"aarey Boudi aapni?" {arrey Bhabiji aap?} jalal shocked listning shubham's voice. Jodha?
Jalal looked in front and their Jodha standing like a typical Bengali wife with 3 milton tiffin career bags.
"woh main...jalal tiffin lana bhool gaye the to socha ke unhe de aau. Varna unka lunch skip ho jayega."
"main bahar bhi ha sakta tha jodha steet stall me. Tumhe ane ki kya zarurat thi?"
"kyu nahi thi?" jodha put down the tiffin careers on the table. "zaroorat thi. Yaha ati nahi to apka office kaise dekh pati, or apke dosto se bhi mil nahi apti...or..."
"Or aap jalal se bhi mil leti hai na bhabiji?" Rupesh said in a loud voice.
This made Jalal and jodha go red in blush. Jodha want to hide himself with their comments. But yes they were right. After yesterday night he again went to other room to sleep next day he went again before she comes down. She missed him a lot. Now she started to miss him as she accepts him as his husband.
Jalal closed his eyes in disbelieve. "ye yaha kyu ayi. Pata nahi ab ye sare jungle kabootar kya kya kehde usse."
Subham asked, "per bhabiji, yeh 3 boxes kyu?"
"yeh aap sab ke lie" then looking at jalal " aaj maine jalal ke pasand ka lunch banaya tha. Kachche kele ke kofte ke sath Pulao. Toh socha aap sab ko bhi dedu. Afterall you all Jalal's friends and hum sab to humare reception me mile the to you all like our family. Or family ke lie ye to kar hi sakte hai." Jodha said with confidence.
Jalal go awestruck with her words. She cared for his colleagues also. He feels proud of himself to love such a pure soul. But now she did mistake. She can feel that she started to like him. But the pain he gone through can't ignore that also. He doesn't want to give him pain as a revenge on her deeds but he want to know after all this what she feels for him. And after her Tiffin act, it becomes necessary to know what place she gave to him.
