You have analyzed this so beautifully and with so much understanding and sensitivity!

Ishwari faced a real problem, in a real world, so she strategically decided how she was going to raise her children to secure their future.

What she forgot though, was to acknowledge Neha's contribution to their success as a family. I think that, Neha not only lost her childhood but in the family, she is the only one who is living with the consequences of what she has sacrificed - not being educated as well as the possibility of becoming, yet a mother again or possibility of having to face hardship again if she marries someone not as rich as they are now.

Neha's bitterness stems not only from her lost childhood, but also from receiving no acknowledgement for the sacrifices that she has made. In Ishaari's eyes, she can only feel the pain that Dev went through.

I want the makers of the show to illustrate how Neha learns to love herself as a person and not wait for others to acknowledge her as a person; to reach a sense of peace within herself. I doubt that Ishwari will ever recognize her mistake. Neha should be shown to reach some financial independence; she should not be shown to sacrifice and resign her fate to going back to facing hardship by becoming part of Ranbir's family. We have seen enough women sacrifice their own dreams on the big and small screen. Hope the makers of the show, show us something different. She should not just be the disruptive force in Sona and Dev's love story.

My comment got deleted before I could post it.
This is slightly off the usual directions in which everyone writes. This is my personal opinion. xD
Ishwari keeps saying, money is not important. Happiness is, love etc.
She definitely loved all her children.
But, that love was not enough to sustain their family right?
It cost Ishwari Dev and Neha's childhood, to provide all comforts to her family.
The responsibilities that burdened Dev and Neha were to uplift their family from poverty.
Which is exactly because of money! Or the lack of it.
Dev lost out on so much, and had to struggle to such an extent just so they aren't poor.
Neha lost out on her education, which is like the most important part of every child's life, because of money.
Then, how can money be regarded so frivolously?
Money cannot guarantee happiness. But, lack of money, definitely guarantees only misery, in which they lived.

Thank you for such a beautiful response to my analysis.
I too hope that the cvs do treat Neha's character development in detail. Being a suppressed girl child is not easy and every girl even if she has never been treated badly knows how it feels to be pushed in the background. I do hope that the Cvs show us the growth that comes within Neha with time. 😊
