There are various hidden cam gigs these days in the name of entertainment. We all enjoy such programs on MTV or Sci-Fi or Comedy Central etc...

Such programs basically catch people off guard and then air it... some programs are real famous.

Debateable point - Are such TV programs ethical ? making fun of real reactions of people for making money or it is not ?

Q - Entertainment is something and being embrassed on national tv is not cool, would u agree?

If someone make you Bakara.....sometime you get angry 😉its may be 2,3min last that anger!!😳Sometime its hurts or annoy the participants but I think in all hidden cam entertainment shows last they says its a Tv programe, and make relx the particuler person and give a small gift too😳.....I dont know much about ethical about these kind of shows...its Fun😊....i think people take these programs in +ve ways.

i don't agree. just for laughs is not cool. at first thought -nobody likes the idea of making a fool of themselves.

thats a different case, when they sport a fake smile and wave to the camera , showing they enjoyed becoming a bakara.Thats not being positive ,

its shame-defense technique, You laugh on yourself first, thinking that others dont take it as a big deal. thats the technique everyone uses for their road side slips and falls.. 😉

Now for entertaintment shoots, its still ethical if the concept of a gag is such that is not embarrasing but funny ...like those shows which are obviously not from our production houses.😳.shows like just kidding, candid camera, etc. These shows have funny concepts, people laugh on the concept and not on a particular person. whereas, least ethical shows like chupa rustam 🤢where they hold on to never seen before ideas of 'road side surveys' and make a man do all sorts of nonsense till he actually looks like a bakra and bandar, These shows are embarrasing and more than that disgusting.🤢

I would say reality entertainment is good but come up with laughs for people and not laughs on people.😊

There is an art of everything, face it, we are not good at such shows, and whats worst is we hoist the flag of positive atitude by asking ignorant road-side people to smile and wave at the camera .

we have to learn a lot... now this is something we should take it positively. 😉 😆

everyone has their own way of making money these days
this is just one of them
and things like mtv bakra...well they actually take people's permission to shoot it
so if they don't care...we shouldn't either and just enjoy it
so i guess it's ethical

Here is the deal, some people learn to laugh at themselves. Shows like Bakra and the likes can be hilarious. Hidden cameras are ok for practical jokes and the likes. However, the person who is filmed should have final say if the material should be aired or not. After all it is the images of the person.

For example if I am made a bakra, and I feel ok to air that on television - then go right ahead. However, if I am offended, hurt or embarrassed by the content and wish to have it not aired - the channel should respect my wish.

The most unethical use of hidden cameras in my opinion is in shows like Big brother etc...where they capture private conversations and situations and then air it causing damage to a person's reputation, or making them look bad taking a quote out of context.

Most of the reality hidden camera shows make the people sign a contract after they are duped. There is a clause which says that the TV channel can show the scene and won't be sued.

Have you guys watched Borat? I was laughing so much, probably because my sentiments were not hurt in the film. But that was not the case with others. Borat was hilarious but crude and offensive at the same time. Most of the scenes caught people off guard and also fooled them into doing something which they weren't told of. They were shocked to see the portrayal in the film. There are many pending litigations against the film.
