Like they need to get this clear before they go all the way because this Nirmala issue is a demon he needs to put to rest.
If all this were to happen after they fell in love, confessed, and became a couple, that entire development would've been pointless because how can you be with someone you misunderstand? Misunderstanding ki jaga aur waqt ABHI hai, before they go all the way, because after it's sorted they'll have a sense of clarity in their relationship that they might've lacked before. Pyaar tha, fikar thi, fitoor tha, ab samajh bhi ayegi.
And I love how they're addressing both the demons, the pain Sumo caused him and his issue with his mom. He will most probably blame Sumo for this Nirmala thing becase the place where that anger is coming from will most likely be his old suppressed feelings and frustration, the reveal of Nirmala + Sumo's contact will serve as an instance that mimics the humiliation 10 years ago where he felt her throw their friendship in his face. Where she disregarded his feelings, 10 years ago by telling him she didn't give a hoot ("chali gayi toh chali gayi") and today by still maintaining contact with someone she knew (in his head) did something so horrible to him. It'll make him question his value in her life, like 10 years ago.
The difference between the two situations however, will be that this time, she did what she did BECAUSE she cares about him.
I just LOVE the writing of this show, and I'm just SO EXCITED. Because I KNOW and have faith (this show has ONLY ever given me reasons to have faith) that this will not be handled the cliche way as they do in other shows/will not be stretched out as it is in other shows. Probably the other reason why I'm excited is because I know these writers always knock my socks off. Weather the track be comedic, nostalgic, romantic, or angsty.
So yeah, my two cents. Also missed you all loads too ❤️.
