Fear- An awakening

I don't know if this is the place to post this. But I want my voice to be heard.

I had the scariest day of my life today. A shooting on campus. I don't know if you guys have heard. We were on lockdown and everytime someone banged the door, I felt like this was how it would all end. Trust me, fear consumed me like never before.

They say your life flashes before your eyes in these moments. But even in that extremely stressful situation, it didn't. All I wanted to do was tell my loved ones how much I loved them.

I'm writing this to tell you guys to use my awakening as yours too. Say your I love you's, Give out bear hugs, Tell people you miss them. Don't miss out on this precious gift that we have. This gift called life.

I know this is the EDKV forum, not my personal blog. But I've met some nice people here. And I really did want to make my voice heard. I want to make a difference.
