Her strength in the face of adversity is something to really strive towards.
One thing that was stressed in the Valmiki Ramayan was how desperately she cried out for help from Ram and Lakshman when she was being abducted. That was not shown here, and I LOVED IT!! Yes, Sita cried out for help, but she attempted to do her very best. She threw a knife at RAVAN, when most people would have been petrified in fear!
When she got to Lanka, she knew that despite missing her husband, her soul mate, and her devar, her son, she had to be strong and stand up to Ravan, which is EXACTLY what she did.
WIthout saying a single word this entire episode, she captivated me.
She didn't scream, she didn't insult, she didn't plead, she didn't beg, she didn't cry for help.
She stood tall and looked them in the eye, and refused to budge. Her kind heart understands the torment Mandodari and Sulochana, even Surpanakha and Ravan, are going through, but she still holds them accountable for their actions. She truly is the universal mother.
Sita won over Ravan with her strength and dedication and perseverence. Ravan became obsessed with the one person that refused to bend to him.
Sita is someone we should all try to emulate. Her strength despite the terrible situation fate has put her in is commendable.
Jai Sita Ram!
