Ms Basu & Creativity

Dear Friends,

When I started watching Kasamh Se sometime in May 2006 I was pleasantly surprised by the acting, dialogues etc etc., and got hooked into the show in process, I could not believe it was a Balaji Show, though I had not seen any, I heard that they were weird from my friends and colleagues...multiple marriages, cross marriages etc etc...That time Sandip Sickand was the Creative Head and Ms Nivedita Basu was Deputy Creative Head, so much was my addiction, incase I happen to miss the 9'clock slot, I ensured I watched the repeat telecast at 1130 pm, if not next day in office ensuring boss not looking around, the sizzling chemistry, with great acting and dialogues...then Sandip Sickand left, ONS happened I remained hooked as inspite of the disgusting liaison, it was not uncommon, then came the 1st leap, AD and his 3 sister clones, I noticed Ms Basu from Deputy Creative Head became Creative Head, I read somewhere in the forum she was there to ensure that there are no bloopers in the episode, the least said about those days are better, somehow we managed to throw AD out, everything was o.k....was quite liking the daksh track, inspite of Arushi's snide remarks regarding age difference which I thought JB will prove her to be wrong, then came the gruesome death of children and another leap was shoved down our throat. Now Ms Nivedita Basu is the Creative Director of the show. Kasamh Se which was the top 3 shows of the prime time is out of top 10 shows now.

In yesterday's episode, Bani was crying watching a picture of her and JW's. When JW threw her out of the house, she had no luggage, from where did the picture come from?? JW took pity and posted it to her??...Jigyasa was blasting members of her own family, un-necessary scene, I understand angst against her daughters-in-law but why does Nachiket hear all the nonsense, he is a member of her family, doesn't he have a voice...Meera, still cannot fanthom why she has got married to JW...her role is still not clear, two weeks and no clarity of her character, does the actor know why she is here in this show....

With each promotion comes great responsibility, atleast that is what I know from my working experience...

I envy Ms Nivedita Basu's rise, inspite the show is going into doledrums she is getting promotions, at this rate by the time Kasamh Se ends, she will be co-owner of Balaji Telefilms...

Yaar… Don't ever take the trouble of comparing the KS of good olden days with the crap dished out in the later stages…

I am currently watching the rerun of KS on Zee Smile… The track which is been aired now is Bani leaving WM after Jai insults her for stealing money and Massi making an entry. Just could not help but wonder the dramatic slaughter of characterization which has been done since then…

Jig's instigates Jai that Bani has swindled cash from the Company… Though JW is angry he makes it a point to go to the office, checks the documents which have Bani's signature on them and then concludes that she has taken the money (We will leave out the foolishness of Bani signing the papers offered by Ranveer without reading and procedure of whether amounts can be transferred across accounts by a mere signature) JW insults Bani and her sisters using abusive words but Bani does not take it lying down. She stands her ground and defends herself and her family…Tells him on his face that he has not only insulted her but a woman… Lets him know that she has been calmly bearing his brunt all those days only because she feels that will help him vent out his anger /pain and he can be his normal self… Finally she leaves the WM along with Rano…

After watching this I could only despair "Oh…where has KS and more importantly the characters we loved so much disappear???"

Bloopers, harshness, evilness, song and dance have become the norm of KS instead of a good storyline. But its not only KS that suffered at the hands of Basil, Kyunki's TRP's took a dip, that is when Kekta stepped in and wrote a track for that show and so did Kahani again Kketa stepped in. As far as KZK goes, the glitter of Bajaj did not hold for more than a few weeks and they are down in the charts from the top 3 to near the bottom 10. All shows were under Basil after SS left. My opinion that proved it was SS who was the creative genuis ofr BT and not Basil as Kekta thought.

Is it so, then for what she is getting promoted?? If she was a man I could have understood, but then does ekta have some other likings😉

Its sad that they think that Basu can save the serials, when in reality she helps to ruin them. The destruction of KS was in her hands nearly singlehandedly.. its pretty sad.

tin, great post and i think basil lady and creativity are antonym of each other and basil lady can be compared to a copy cat instead of creative 😉

nivi is not incharge at the moment and shes never just incharge of one show they swap them around i think shes cool she was incharge of kayamath at the start and that was great! 👏 👏

I beg to differ, the first thing which comes is Nivedita Basu, Creative Director, before making the post, I have seen it carefully,,,and keyamath is nothing but copy of KS's good old days minus RK& PD's terrific acting and chemistry. Even the director is same V Anil Kumar. If you are responsible please take onus of it...that is what we are taught...

Thing is Tin, BT has so many shows with the same handful helming the shows that they themselves lose track of what has gone before in these shows. Bloopers are now a minor problem, entire story tracks are lifted from one serial to another, they rehash and copy from themselves. Creativity at Balaji is synonymous with titillation and sensationalism. Anything can be used/ abused/misused and all in the name of garnering TRPs. What more can you expect from a production house whose Head says blithely" If you don't like it, don't watch it". And she has the temerity to say that shows like Prison Break and 24 are the shows she wants to emulate!!

It might be but the actual concept was alot different and it was focused more on the dad and prachis relationship it was later that it turned similar to ks as for the credits well kasamh se even after ashwini left had jygassa written as ashwini despite being her changed 😆
