The women in the rao family seem to have so much turmoil in their lives every generation

Raos sister was married to a king but he fell for kumu

Raos wife dont know her story but her killing herself is pretty bad

Saras married michael but her life has been full of turmoil, rao making sure she and michael r not well off, her illness etc

Shivani well rao married her to markhand thts explains her problems lol

Pavitra, doesnt trust her hubby, complex about having only girls,her kids lives r messed up and when she finds out abou the swap oh boy

Gayu poor thing is oppressed by aaba cant study and live her life, tricked into marrying david, and now the jayraj cheapo who is eying her sister/SIL

Aaru stolen from her family, now thinks she belongs to kd family, her own grandpa messed up her life many times, kumu manipulates her, got married to aryan, treated like crap,now cheapo jayraj after her

All these rao women have had a horrible time and the new generation of gayu and aaru r also suffering hopefully aaru will be able to fight and not succumb to this fate.

i sympathies everyone except Pavitra because she's responsible for whatever happening with her she's a women good for nothing

Great post Manny...

The women in the RAO household have been doomed from the day they were brought into that household.

Gayatri was ready to fly away from the clutches of her grandfather but alas misunderstandings and plotting have forced her back into his house and now he is getting ready to marry her off to a weirdo.

Pavitra has chosen to have a complex life because after giving birth to her daughter, she was put under severe pressure to conceive a boy. She was warned that if she could not conceive a male heir then her husband will have to remarry. However that was the least of her problem as you've noted above. She has been extremely insecure to the point where she even turned her son against his father to enable her to have atleast one of them in her life. She is beyond a complex character. She detest adultery and yet promotes it where her son is concerned.

I have to say despite Kumudini's nonsense, Aaru got out lucky and spend most of her life away from her grandfather's clutches. She was leading a happy life until circumstances forced her back into her old neighbourhood and sadly her encounter wit Aryan ensured she had to come back into her biological household in a bad light. It shall be interesting when the truth is revealed as she is the only female of the RAO who will never bound down to wrongful behavior. She shall be the son RAO always wanted. And he shall regret treating the female of the household in the manner that he has. But sadly there is a long way to go before that transpires.
