Raman and Ishita sat by themselves, in the corner of the room. Not wanting to be disturbed by anyone, especially now when they have reconciled. It was Romi and Mihka's wedding reception. They stayed away from all the festivities instead opting to discuss their relationship and where they wanted to take it. Sure it had been a shock to see each other, and the anger Raman felt for Ishita was still there but, know mostly it was felt along with gratitude for having her back in everyone's lives.
He held her hand under the table rubbing his thumb up and down her palm as he looked into her eyes. He had to make a choice soon on how to tell Pihu that Ishita was her mother. "Ishita, you know it was not fair to Pihu to not have a mother. You did the same thing to her that Shagun did to Ruhi."
Ishita could not meet his eyes, when Raman said this. She didn't think of Pihu when she made her impulsive decision all those years ago. A child always suffered in this marriage. She knew she had made a mistake...she really should have died; it would have been easier than to face disappointment in Pihu's eyes.
Ishita drew her hands away from Raman's hand as if taking her hands away would not let Raman feel the shame she felt.
Yet Ishita thought to herself, "Raman did not better by keeping Pihu away from my parents. No wait that is wrong to think he does have anger issues but I am in the wrong for not being able to deal with the loss of Ruhi. I should have stayed! No matter what would have happened even if it was the break-up of my marriage."
