Hi every traveler, dweller, dreamer, or stranger in SwaSan land,
Have you ever missed someone so much that, even in the tranquil silence of the wind you hear them call you? Those voices, beckoning you, swept across the landscape by winds make your jerk from the trance of reality and look around, in hope of seeing that person, the loved one, standing with open arms?
Well that is the true essence of missing someone. The beauty here is that Swara does not even remember who she is missing at the moment. But that emptiness, the hole in her heart is so prominent and the ache so strong that, even subconsciously she hears his voice turns around instantly.
So Sanskar did pick that ring. It was obvious that he would know the symbol of his love that used to adore the finger of his beloved. But in the process he also made sure Sahil's happiness is delayed. Ouch!
That reminds me, my title of the previous SwaSan today was very apt, as proved by CVs tonight. Only Sanskar's lamp of love remained burning at the end of the scene. I guess Swara's one did too. But here the comparison is between Sahil's happiness lamp and Sanskar's love lamp. Am I even making a sense?
My favorite scene however was the temple one. Where Sanskar finally caught a glimpse of his love. Going back a bit, I really like the backdrop of temples they use for SwaSan scenes. They sort of highlights the purity of their love. Temples, do have a different serenity in their atmosphere as this one did. A calmness that is untouchable by the Arati bells, the chants or the devotees. There is a hidden sense of devotion, a commanding allure that hints of the presence of divinity. The blurred lights of lamps, in a veil of smoke, I can even imagine the doop smell here...that is the sign of god's presence in my opinion.
In the shelter of the flute playing lord's divinity, came two lovers. Walking in separately, one burdened by the loss, the other blinded by ignorance. Each, oblivious to the other's presence. One in search of his fate the other trying to revert his misfortune. Both, in one blissful moment were blessed by the lotus eyed one.
The cloud of smoke, lifts the veil of circumstances between them and he sees her, her eyes on the god's idol and his eyes on her...his guide to light, his angel, both his prayer and lord, found again at the end of the long agonizing separation.
The look that lit up, warmed and melted his eyes...how hauntingly beautiful that was? If, only if, Swara was to witness that moment, when Sanskar looked at her as if she was the god appearing before him, would not her heart melt even for a moment?
Today I know what is the meaning of happy tears, finally. I've never realized it before. But it is this kind of moments. Where you are happy to the brim of your heart, and at the same time your eyes are overflowing, your heart is aching. It was truly lovely, serene and heart wrenching.
Thank you, thank you Cvs. Thank you VaHe. Thank you SwaRagini.
I refuse to write about the Baadi scene, and the Ma Beta scene of Sahil and his mom, but for anyone who did not caught the episode yet. They were there, for large chunks of episode.
This is my personal opinion, which I express with no intention of hurting anyone. If someone finds this post irksome, my apologies in advance. Maintain the peace in this thread, this is no war zone. It is a space for everyone to express their view, please share your thoughts and forgive me if I don't reply to everyone individually. I read all the comments and love them.
