Jhalak is like going back to school for Sandhya
Sandhya sizzles like a flame. It's quite hard to believe that this superb dancer had never danced before in her life. In fact, we heard her telling one of the contestants that she hadn't known she could dance until Jhalak happened. Earlier, although she used to dance at parties, she was inhibited—she was too shy to perform before an audience. Kya baat kar rahi ho Sandhya? Shy aur aap? Anyway, 10 years ago she hadn't known how to act either. Jhalak is like a school to her. And we must admit Sandhya has passed with 100 per cent. If you continue like this, you're sure to be the topper. Keep it up girl!

I couldn't find her actual birthdate. All I could find out is that she was born in Mumbai and moved to Delhi at age 10. But I am going to take a guess that she is 37 or 38 due to an article published in 2005 that she had a six year gap with her eldest brother who was 42 at the time it was written.

Here is the source:

"Siddharth Mridul, 42, Sandhya?s eldest brother is the standing counsel for the Central Government. He prefers to call it ?a not particularly creative profession?, but one that he has always enjoyed. He hasn?t always had an easy time during his 19 years at the Bar. His father died just as he was about to qualify for the Bar and he was saddled with the task of keeping the family together and looking after his younger brother and sister. He became a father figure for his younger sister.

Right from the time I was a small child, my eldest brother was my protector. There would be times when my other brother, Pankaj would lock me up in a bathroom or slap me, but Siddhu bhaiyya would always be there to bail me out. There was an age gap of six years between us and a gap of only one year between my two brothers."

is she really 42, for a 42 she is in a really good shape and looks a lot younger than her age. and her dancing is getting from better to the best. i mean without a dancing background she is doing great!! awesome!!

Sorry if I confused with the all the bolding. 🤔 She is probably 37 or 38. The article published in 2005 says her brother was 42 at the time and he was six years older than her.

She actually has not. Remember Arshad's Warsi's AV they showed. He was very surprised that Sandhya was participating in a dance show!
