I disagree. Plastic surgery is quite common now and many people where you would not even know had surgery on face or body.

Talking all across the board from facelifts, lypo, implants etc.

Horror stories are rare that's why they get attention. Does not mean they happen often.
Most of these horror stories are people mentally unstable who get multiple operations and don't know when to stop.

Or going to bad doctors who are practicing illegally or don't know what they are doing etc.

They can do whatever they want to but they blatantly lie about it as if something shameful.

They do what they want to do with their bodies. We say what we want to say with our mouths. In a perfect world this will be the case but nah. Actors and actresses want to have their cake and eat it too. Let us do what we want with our bodies but don't you speak about it. Wokay...

What are its long term effects? Sridevi's nose, after surgery looked fine. But after she has aged, it is not fitting well. It looks like Michael Jackson's nose now.

I find the idea of Plastic Surgery bizarre and odd. One should be happy with oneself because each is beautiful in their own way. Outer beauty doesn't matter. It has to fade anyway.

Temporarily, for a time being you might feel good looking at yourself but then what when it starts to ebb away? You just realize you made a blunder at the end.

Examples are Katrina, Kareena. Rakhi and Michael Jackson, etc.

Katrina i don't know why she did so, and ruined her naturally beautiful face. MJ, i understand his side of story but wasn't he much better looking before the surgery?

Nowadays, people do it just for fun, not realizing it's after effects. Plastic Surgeries usually gives you temporary confidence and happiness and then never-ending regret.

IMHO, it's good for acid-attacks victims, it in a way can save the life.

But at the end, their life their choices. And celebrities like to be discussed, we got a proof today so i find no harm in criticizing them.

I don't blame them or think it is wrong as long as it does not ruin their looks. It is a look based industry after all and they have to keep their looks to have a job. I think it is part of routine maintenance. But if I have to pay money or watch for free a big ass unnatural fish lip pout I am going to criticize loudly and call it ugly like I did with Anushka and Nargis.

If their entire appearance changes as it did with Renee Zelwegger though she may deny it 🤔, I am going to mention it. I am not blind nor was I born yesterday. The most disconcerting of all though is when you have watched someone for years and you know how expressive they are, then they do botox, their face freezes and they have no expression. If it changes their acting, I will criticize that most of all.

I have no problem with good plastic surgery though even if they always say they have to fix a "deviated septum" for a nose job. 😆

When they get all botched, that is when I get scared. Their body their choice, overall.

Plastic surgery should not be made an issue, it's in the end the choice of the person who is doing it! If somebody might feel more confident if they plastic surgery is helping them- then why not?

It is a very idealistic thought I believe where we say that everyone is perfect in their own way- it's very easy to say, and very hard to live with. Sure you can try all you want, but sometimes you do back down to pressure and want to feel beautiful, or look a certain way - it's totally okay if you choose to go down that road make yourself feel better

But keeping all that aside , if the surgery goes wrong or doesn't look good, then you must be man/woman enough to take on the ridicule or for a better word - 'criticisms' too! Because you brought it on upon yourself! Nobody is responsible for your actions other than you.
