Agreed :) Personally I also feel that Radha Rani is just petty and spiteful as a person. To argue with her would eventually just bring you down to her level. I think its wiser to just avoid conflicts like that, especially at a place you work in because eventually its you who will face most of the trouble. Besides I love how the respect Sona shows for her has only elevated her in everyone's eyes. Nobody agrees with the woman, everyone knows she is just being unreasonable. Personally I feel the Dixits need such unwavering loyalty and commitment, someone who is willing to understand them... only then will all the walls they have built around themselves will come down. The Ishwari has grown to love Sona is beautiful to me and so Radha Rani's petty remarks bear little weight in comparison. Nothing is perfect afterall.Loved the point you made about Sona's family values winning inspite of Radha Rani's constant attempts to instigate her. Thank you !!!😳Vicky is ofcourse a different matter. He is an equal of sorts so Sona reprimands him freely. I really do not understand how Sona's self respect takes a hit just because she doesn't answer back at Radha Rani. If you think of it as a workplace situation then there is nearly always someone unpleasant at work that you have to tolerate. You can't just lose your head all the time. You have to be calm and diplomatic. Word!!A job is a job and Sona's very dedicated towards her work. Her priorities are Ishwari and Dev so she sticks to that. She's tried to quit before but now its just so much more complicated because of how she has gotten attached to this place not to mention her love for Dev. These days its a little more difficult for Sona to be completely firm with Radha Rani because the woman toys with her weakness now - Dev. Unrequited love is bound to make Sona more vulnerable and I only feel sad for her when RR's remarks cut in.But I loved how Sona stood her ground yesterday and quietened Radha Rani. She crossed a line there by making remarks on her class and family background.. It was so ironic to me that she said all that considering her background is far more humble than Sona's. Sona isn't the one dreaming of clouds and losing sight of reality as much as Radha Rani is. I hope she's set in her place soon. Tiresome character.
Sruti, how I missed your heart winning reasonable posts! Thank God. You understood my point. I always felt you also will feel the same way regarding Sona's characterisation. You know how frustrated I am seeing her teenage girlish behaviour. Please post your great analysis again if you have time. It will be a treat to your admirers like me.Originally posted by: shruthiravi
It has been quite some time since I watched the show, the reason being what Lakshmi said. Inconsistent characterization of Sona. When a mature girl falls in love it will not be lovey dovey, it will not be mushy. There is a way to show it which I have seen it excellently portrayed in many Malayalam and Tamil movies. Even in some of the recent Hindi movies it is portrayed quite well.
Coming to Sona dealing with Mami she should know where to restrict Mami without being rude. Learn to ignore her. And speak with respect but with assertiveness about her to people concerned. You can do that. Respect to elder doesn't mean be a door mat and allow them to walk all over you. Since I don't know to what extend Sona is doing it, I cannot comment on it, but Hindi soaps always try to justify the negative elderly character appeased by the younger leading lady in the name of sanskaar. And for me that is the wrong notion of sanskaar.

Hundred percent agree with you. The show lost the charm and maturity that we happened to see in the initial Episodes. CVs had spoilt Sona's Charecter to the maximum. Now Dr. Sonakshi would hardly remember her profession, her career and integrity . She takes pleasure on listening to private conversations between a mother and son ,dancing on the stairs without even feeling any inhibitions and waiting aimlessly for Dev to return from his dinner with Natasha. She won't hesitate to tell lies for the sake of getting an opportunity to drive home with him.Unbelievable.You are right. This show does't deserve your analysis at all.Originally posted by: shruthiravi
Lakshmi how can I post analysis when I am not watching the show. An actor/actress cannot keep me to a show unless the characters can be connected. The promo showed me a mature love story. Not the OTT type mush I ended up seeing. Shows is good for people who are fans of Mills and Boons type stories. Unfortunately I sleep over them. I read extensively from mytho, thriller, social stories to political sagas, self development books, but M&B maximum I have managed is 42 pages. A mature love doesn't happen the way it is shown in the show. There are better ways to show it.
