I agree with you neha...They are all excellent singers and everyone has a right to speak their mind. Just as we speak our mind here regarding these contestants.. the contestants speak their mind regarding each other. So if anyone says they dont like one of the contestants because he/she was rude to qazi or anyone then in a way they are being hypocrites. Cuz some of us are being rude too. We should not put down anyone and support all because these are the top three and they have all improved. But that is just my opinion and everyone has their own!

hmm..true, PinkPixie..they can't put up an act 24/7 and we can't entirely escape their real personalities. BUT i still feel that the show can't give us sufficient access to their normal selves.

back to changing views I (original topic)

Arpita:
I used to like Arpita a lot. especially her looks and singing. Later started hating her because of her constant whining and complaining. I think Prashant sir'd closing remarks suit her as great advice: "Get some 'mitti khushboo' in her behavior and not the corporate touch always. If it was not for a reality show, she would have shined. This I am writing after many baad remarks about her in this forum.

Rex:
Rex was my favourite, cool dude. However, his attitude has changed after he is back. Anyway, I always like his singing.

Shamit:
when I started watching FG, I got impression that Shamit is a cult leader. This was esp. bcoz of JA's comments about Kirti episode. He gave some very nice performance, but never made a room in my heart.

Arijit
I have great respect for Arijit's singing talent. He delivers great quality effortlessly and that makes him a excellent singer. Felt sorry that he got out.

Rooprekha
I was indifferent to ruppu and only became aware of her when she was in top5. She has changed a lot and has gr8 singing capacity. I like and respect her now.

Qazi
I was a qazi hater when I started watching FG. I believed that this guy is just one of those who cries to get sympathy. But later came to know what a gr8 and strong person he is. I think he is quite intelligent too and plays the game well.

Looking at the top3 I am relaxed as anyone of them can be fame jodi and i'll be equally happy.

cheers

ps: forgot to mention another singer I always liked: Anubhav. I think he was a nice person too and would have won hearts if he had a chance to stay or come back like Rex.

I always thought I am different from the rest, I always thought I could understand people better than others. But hey! I just found how wrong I was....
I realised,What I feel about the Gurukul contestants, is same for almost everyone...
ARPITA- To think of it, she is perfect.. looks good, sings good, performs well and is very dedicated, focus and hard-working; but still all of us dislike her. Maybe because she is insecure, criibs too much, maybe a little too selfish. She came in our bad books for voting out ARIJIT and We started hating her because of her anti-qazi propagandas.

REX- WE loved him, maybe if not more but almost as much as Qazi, we all were sad when he was voted out and we all were in tears when he came back again. We had a soft corner for him..." he learnt to smile because he had faced so many hardships" We all know REX's mom, sisters and all. He was like a part of family. But then he started scheming with Arpita, Voted out Arijit, reacted very badly to Arijits allegations, His 'RUPU' drama was cute for a while.. but it went overboard and then he turned anti-qazi. Well now he is almost pleading and maybe emotionaly blackmailing us to vote him back. We are not liking his new avataar... but still all of us are confused, can we really hate REX.. apna REX

ROOPREKHA:Nobody realy liked her, she was the socalled 'nakchadi' , her bad hindi made her look like one insensitive, cold and rude monster. Mr javed favouring RR and RR becoming a top-students was always taken with a pinch of Salt. She came into focus because of REX and we all thought... why does REX likes her, maybe her blushing, her simplicity and her inability to react in a better way, touched her hearts somehow. Rooprekha is damn good singer, had better voice... but we realised it only after we started disliking arpita. But RR touched our hearts by voting for both REX and Arpita, maybe we wouldn't have considered it a big deal if.. Javedji wont have pointed it out. RR's crying touched our souls and all of a sudden she became a deserving candidate. We like her because she has a heart of gold.

QAZI- well, He has been discussed again and agin and I am an ardent supporter, Its wrong to say that he is not a talented singer, he is just a 'not' trained singer... with proper training he will be the best. But there is something about QAZI which touches something deep down inside, we can relate to him, it is something beyond his looks.... In one word I can define it as his INDIANness.

He is a manifestation of our beliefs, our philosophies, our culture. There is something special about people in the whole Indian subcontinenet ( I would like to include pakistan and bangladesh too, as they also have the same values, and I was very happy to read the messages of our pakistani friends ) We value honesty, kindness and determination. We have the 'nevar say die' spirit. In times of adversities, instead of loosing hope, we find new strength to move on and on. We respect our enemies and believe in fair dealings. We have faith in ourselves and our god. It is beyond us to loose our self respect, our modesty. Maybe in todays world we have forgotten our true nature, but it is still there in our sub conciousness, our hearts. Maybe we dont behave like this in our day to day life, but... we still respect and appreciate others who have these qualities.
I think it is wrong to say that we indians ( & pakistanis ) like to promote a loosing 'cause' or we are 'Emotional Fools' or we dont know how to judge talents.
I think we just listen to our hearts and our hearts still have that indianness....

I think, my message is already too long.... but I must add one more thing.
In Indian Idol we found that indianness in 'Ravinder Ravi'-the painter guy... but he was voted out because he didnt have the courage to move on.. he count take the evryday crisizing... and he was only too glad to go away... But QAZI, he is a miracle boy.... Inspite of all criticisms he Survived.... and that why he is A WINNER.

I think our producers copy the format of American reality shows and expect similar results and when this doesn't happen they behave angrily and think we "the Janta" are unpredictable. In reality, Our values are more deep routed than the american counterparts. They are materilistic... We are sentimental. We have and will always vote with our hearts. We vote for survivors, people who are trying to fight back, people who are moving against the tide, people who are strong, people who are defying the usual norms..... and yet doing it with a SMILE. If U guys see SA RE GA MA, why do we like himesh reshamiya... even though he has lost the most...

WEll, I think all Indians think the way I think.
QAZI is in
RR should be in... she has a golden heart
REX we all are confused, we want him in only if we get convinced he ias the same innocent REX. That reminds him we all love to blame Poor Arpita for the changed REX
ARPITA- She is the ideal and the most perfect candidate according to the producres. She would have been the No 1, if only americans were voting. Sorry Arpita.... this is India. Everything takes a back seat when Indianness where indianness is concerned.
In India U R nothing if U can't becaome a good human being.... maybe one day U will realise it......

totali agree with u on this...
the first time i saw qazi was when they were promoting who to vote for etc...qazi, deepak, deepshika...
i saw this guy with long hair..n i was like..hmm...(i dun quite like guys with long hair.. 😆 )
somehow, i got this feeling to watch famegurukul...
the first time i saw was when he sang lakshya theme song..though he was put in danger zone...
i was like...he shudnt be..i kinda like it...
his voice is unique n fresh...n those expressive eyes...
i found myself hook on the show watching each n every episode to see his developments...n hoping he wudnt be out so soon..
the more meaner the other ppl get, the more i like QAZI for his sheer will n determination..he always take the negative things in reali well..
n he has improved tremendously....
now, ill say he is a reali good singer, good performer...and a great person :D

Arpitha:i never liked her from day one

RoopRekha:i never took notice of hr intitially..more focused on arijith ,shamith...but always felt she was honest in her voting...but sometimes she too disappointed ...but now no complains...i want her to be in fame jodi

Rex:shammit was my fav first...but later i was favouring rex....but still i suspected him to be pretentious...now i am sure he dont deserve to be famejodi

Hi

I dont agree to you view that Qazi is smarter knowing camera is rolling on everyone since it is reality show and that is why he never showed dislike.

We are all humans and make mistakes and Qazi too should have done mistakes, but he never did. So it shows that it was acting or smartness on his part, but it his his nature of not pointing fingers at others or showing dislikes.

Thanks to everyone who steered this thread back to the orginal topic.. 👏

Abdullahmukadam, I cannot totally disagree with u if I think from my heart, cos as I said, qazi is just so likeable. but if i use my head...well, then i applaud him for his strategy!

sonia sheel, i wanna add to your perceptive analysis bout all of us looking for Indianness. I think due to the prevalent belief in 'kismat' that so many of us have in the subcontinent, we get kind of fatalistic..we accept failure as written by a divine hand, and in that acceptance we sometimes don't try to change our fate. all of us have faced failure at sum point or the other. It is stories like qazi's that make us challenge 'fate'- that's why he's a living inspiration.

(hope i made sense!)
