Changing views about contestants

Hi guys, as RR says, "ulta ho gaya na", cos i'm joining this forum at the fag end of FG...and also ulta cos I started watching the show halfway thru and now am soo addicted...<sigh>

Hmm..me and some friends were discussing how our views about the contestants changed in the course of the show...from indifference to strong likes or dislikes. Would love to hear if any of you have had similar experiences. Since the show is coming to an end, its time to remininsce!

Here's how my own views changed:

REX: Really used to like him for his bindaas attitude. Felt terrible when he left..one of the few times a TV show has made me cry. I started watching the show when he got voted out the first time, cos I wanted to see how they cudve thought others were betetr than him...but as the show progressed, I think we all began to perceive him as scheming and insecure...don't like him any more!

ARPITA: Really liked her- good singer, pretty, carried herself well, spoke well. I always thought she and Shamit would be the fame jodi....then Shamit got kicked out, and Arpita's attitude became very off-putting...with so many tears and perhaps her over-confidence...pata nahin, sumwhere she lost the charm.

RUPREKHA: Wow, she would come across more as shabby and sloppy than cute...I always admired her voice but was indifferent to her otherwise..now, the naughtier and more confused she gets, the cuter she seems! and I never thought she could execute 'kajraarey' the way she did..way to go!

ARIJIT: Couldn't ever forgive him for what he did to Shamit...i never thought I would even wanna hear him sing again..but I saw the way he had worked on his performances..they became really good towards the end..and he had a great voice...was really sad to see him go...

QAZI: This is the one contestant who has really drawn me to the show. In the beginning, I would look at him as this wannabe who got lucky cos tonnes of teenage girls found him cute....but qazi really grows on you...I think his voice sounds really good now...what a mammoth improvement...and I think he looks attractive not cos I find him handsome but cos he had a very sensitive face, and expressive eyes..that's why he strikes a chord with so many of us.

OF course, at the end of the day we don't know any of them the way they really are...we know them through what the cameras show us, and through some selected shots at that. Who can be their normal selves under so mcuh pressure, and constantly under the vigil of the cameras? Everyone is bound to lose it at some point...qazi has come up trumps here cos he hasn't let out his frustrations the way the others have...he comes across as positive and a fighter all the way.

i agree with u in case of rr but still i like her but i don't agree with u in case of rex.rex is not like qazi,as qazi know the camera is rolling and the public is watching them so he never ever showed that he dislike this person or that but rex has always being honest with others and more importantily to himself,he always express his views vey honestly irrespective of the fact that the public is watching him.so my view about rex is that he is a very honest,straight-forward person .

Hi_neha, I agree with u that qazi knows the camera is rolling..that's why he's been smarter than the rest...he knows this is a reality show, ppl are going to vote for a likeable person above all.
I ain't saying anything bout rex personally..just talking bout the way he's come across..it mightve been better for him, for instance, to tone down his contentions against qazi in that lawyers' debate..i think that was the crucial turning point..qazi fans couldn't take the way he yelled, cos his frustrations became obvious..and sort of overshadowed the rustic charm he used to have.

yes as the show progressed my views towards contestants also changed,

Initially i didnt think that qazi will come upto this stage, when he was in danger zone with kirti i thought he will go out, but i used to like him, but after seeing his mental strength (coming so many times in danger zone and never reacting to fellow contestants criticism)...and his improvement in singing i now like him a lot and very happy for him, even i want him to see as a fame jodi winner

regarding rex i used to like him a lot but after his come back somehow he is not that rex, now he just keep changing his stand, i dont like him

ruprekha i used to like her from the very begining but didnt thought she can win the contest, as the competition became tough and contestants were selfish and ruprekha's honesty make me her fan,

regarding arpita i was indifferent to her initially but as the show preogressed i started disliking her,

arijit was my favourite from the beginning but after what he did with shamit i started disliking him too but i was sad after his exit
