This pic was surfaced last year. What's the meaning of posting it now. The lunch was hosted by actor Prabhu Ganesan not Kalyan Jewellers and the plates weren't gold.

This was the statement given by Prabhu Ganesan on his blog:

Shri Amitabh Bachchan, was visiting our home for the first time after our father,Shr.Sivaji Ganesan's passing.The visit of Mr.Bachchan was very special to our family.He came home to pay respect to my father and spend time with our family.It was a traditional,vegetarian lunch. It was served on banana leaves on copper coloured plates and utensils.The plates and vessels are not gold as some people are making them out to be.It was a very sentimental occasion for us.Please don't try to turn this special occasion into a joke.

This was hosted by Prabhu (Son of Legendary Tamil Actor Sivaji Ganesan) .. AB was there for Kalyan Jewellers Shoot... Usually ppl in tamil film industry talk about the food prepared at Sivaji's house. Its very famous .. and those plates are not gold.. prabhu had clarified it in his blog as posted above..

LOL even if we know that it's not gold plates the whole setting makes me laugh because I guess indian tv shows aren't far from reality as we like to believe. It really does look a like dinner on a saas bahu show.😆
