Dedicated To All Mothers
Taani woke up from a bad dream ,she panted in fear screaming out through her larynx "Reyansh.." she gazed at the child sleeping beside her ,he was fast a sleep, she was scared that whether she will loose him to ,she leaned towards him and gave a warm peck on his head
"Baby,I won't make you go away from me ,you are the only reason for my survival cause when you were i my tummy, your daddy passed away ,he was killed by the enemies and he died saving the people of our country,from then on I became very possessive about you and I will let you get hurt " she caressed him laying him on her lap .
The next day ,Taani was making breakfast for her son Reyaan ,Payal's sister comes near Taani "Taani I have noticed that you have become to possessive ,I know that when Reyansh Jeeju died ,Reyaan was in your tummy and you went in alot of stress and was possessive to not to let Reyaan get any harm,you always protected your son but Taani if do like this ,he wont be able to stand on his own feet,and he will be very dependant on you ,he needs to face the reality ,he needs to be strong and face the world ,instead you need to be proud that you have a son who will fulfil you husband last wish".
Taani eyes were filled with tears " Sharon, I am weak after what happened to my husband, I feel like I am only living cause of my son
.And I didn't tell him the reason why is dad died but just told him he works for the army ,cause I know Reyaan will be a good soldier and fight with those who killed his father ,his country's enemies are his enemies and his dad's killer is his next target but I don't want to be also like Reyansh ,I know Rey's last wish was to see his child like and he too wanted to salute him when he goes up big but I am sacred ".
Reyaan hears the conversation and comes and hugs Taani " Mom,tell maasi that I will become what my dad wanted me to be ,I will fight with all his enemies and be the most brave person, mom please don't shed tears ,instead be proud of me".
Sharon smiled seeing Reyaan being so confident, she patted his shoulder with pride and honour.
Taani brushed his hair through her fingers "But son, you need to promise me that you will be with me and never go away from me as I can't live without you ,because of you only my heart beats cause you are a world to me ".
Reyaan gave Taani his promise that he will be far from her but he too made her to keep a promise " Promise me mom,that you will never shed tears ,even though if I will go with dad you will be proud that I have done my duty of serving the country with my bravery" .
Taani became emotional "Please Reyaan please don't say so " ,Reyaan kept his hand on Khushi's "Mom,please promise me that you won't cry and you should be proud".
Taani hugged Reyaan and then told him ,bending down and carresing his face " Yes son,I will be proud of you but for that you need to study hard and get good marks and enroll yourself in the army and serve for the country,and reach ahead then what you father received ".
Reyaan went near Reyansh's photograph which a garland was hung on him ,he was standing proud and saluting the Indian Flag in his army uniform "
Dad it was you and mom's decision of giving me this name Reyaan cause it means the union of both of you,but I promise on my name and your work that I will become a capable officer and serve the county with my skills and do what is right, let there be many hurdles but I will over come them with yours and mom's love".
Reyaan saluted Reyansh.
Many years passed Taani was sitting the the award function ,where Reyaan was getting a award for Bravery and Reyaan gave appreciation to his parents
"Dad and mom,this award is dedicated to you,and dad ,it's all because of me I am standing here and I am giving my speech ,you are my inspiration but mom ,I am the candle and you are my light who brought me out from darkness to light and showed me what is wrong and what's right on this occasion of Mothers Day I would like to tell the audience that could not be such a mom who was like a mother and father both for me ,you were my inner strength and my courage".
" When I was fighting there in the border, i kept remembering your lullaby and your words of wisdom, mom I owe my everything to you ".
Reyaan brought Taani on to stage and made the audience to clap for her ,that all these years when her husband was not there beside her,she raised her son up and made him capable of fulfilling his dad's dreams,Taani was over whelmed by the appreciation and she felt proud of her son .
She didn't have words to say but just said one sentence " Reyaan, a soldier is never off duty.Your dad was a soldier and now you are and so it continues for generations to come ,Serve for your country and be a the Nation's Pride ".
She kissed Reyaan on his head and hugged him holding the award.

Mom can be possessive, mom can go to any extent of protectiing her child but she becomes proud of her child when he /she achieves something, she only has one goal in life to make her children happy and their happiness lies her happiness cause she is mother.
