Chapter 1

Sonakshi was laying in her bed staring at the love of her life. Her Dev. He was everything to her. He meant the world to her. Staring at his sleeping face, she wondered what good deeds she had done that he was a part of her life. Correction : she was a part of his life. She couldn't help but smile. She felt like she was the luckiest person in this world.

"Staring at me like this will not be good for you or me, or else I might get late for office" Dev said opening his eyes slowly and winking at his Sona. Breaking her trance, surprising her and leaving her to wonder how did he know, Dev pulls her for his daily morning hug. "H..how did you know?" Sona hesitantly asked to which she received nothing but a chuckle, "Darling, I'm too handsome for you to ignore.. I know I know" and he laughed at her baffled face. "Mr.ImTooGoodLooking , if you are done , have a look at the time and quietly get out of bed and get ready for office" said Sona rolling her eyes and rolling off the bed. "Don't be jealous my darling, I love you" . Sona couldn't help but smile and went into the washroom for a shower.

This was their daily routine. Dev would get ready for office where she would prepare his food and get ready for the rest of the day. Being a nutritionist , she would prepare healthy food for all the family members. Extra healthy to say. Her healthy food policy applied to all. Even her Mother in law.

As much as Ishwari hated that food, keeping her health in mind she would quietly gulp down all the food, staring at Sona like she had done the biggest sin of her life. Sona was used to it now, and deep down she knew as much as her MIL* hated her food, she also didn't like Sona too. Sona tried everything but it never really worked out. But Dev would always tell her to be calm and don't mind what his mom would say or do. He always told her one day everything will be fine. "Until I'm here, no one can say or do anything to you. Don't worry my darling". Dev's voice would echo in her ears. He was her only support. His sisters were there, but they had no say in the house. She felt Dev was her one big and only support. Oh how much she loves and respects him.

Sona prepared everyone's breakfast and asked Keechu to bring it to the table.

Everyone had arrived at the table and settled down. Everyone was quietly eating their food when suddenly Sona felt someone grab her left hand from under the table. Stopping , she stares at Dev, whereas he was quietly munching down like he hadn't done anything. Being a very good actor, he looks at her and innocently asking her what happened and she just gave him a hesitant smile and nodded nothing and continued eating her food, which was looking like a hard task now. He very well knew how to distract her and how much he loved that!

"Sonakshi, pass me the poha" came a stern voice of her MIL. "Sh*t! How do I do that now!? " one hand was under the table and the other was dirty. She slowly looks at Dev begging him with her eyes to leave her hand, and recieving no reaction other then a smirk.

"What's taking you forever? Did you not hear me or are you trying to ignore me ?" Came Ishwari's angry voice. "Haan sona.. Sonakshi what happened? Give Ma the poha" he gave her a innocent smile slowly leaving her hand and recieving a glare.

"Madam is angry now...great!" Dev started making plans to apologize and was failing miserably. Sona was busy ignoring him, teaching him a lesson on how not to put her in trouble or else get ready to face consequences'.

When nothing worked, he could do nothing but hold his ear and mouth a sorry to her. She just smiled. This was her Dev. As much as he troubles her, he cannot stand it when she ignores him. And would do anything to make her mood all good. Looking at her smile, he felt satisfied and now would leave for office after taking his Ma's blessings and kissing Sona on her forehead, as he would do everyday, and slowly whispering an I love you' in her ear, making her crimson before leaving.
