when the fallout happened, everyone was shocked. Kapil, the star he is, did not have any dearth of opportunities and moved on with rival channel Sony. He launched his own show, The Kapil Sharma Show (TKS). Colors tried to fill in Kapil's void with actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek.

But the channel did not think Krushna and his team were capable enough to give stiff competition to Kapil Sharma's show's premiere. So as an attempt to spoil the TRP's of The Kapil Sharma Show', they aired the blockbuster movie of 2015 Bajirao Mastani' at the same slot on Saturday, the 23rd April.

The question remains, who won at the battle of TRP's? Kapil or Colors?

Looks like, Colors. While the TRP reports are still to be out, media reports state that Bajirao Mastani' had a little more inclination that TKS.

There are a few reasons for it. First, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani ran break free on the channel (though they did include a few advertisements towards the end.). Also, the stars of the film promoted the world television premiere on their respective Twitter handles, adding to the buzz.

Secondly, Kapil brought in superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the guest at a time when his own movie Fan' is struggling to inch towards the 100 crore club at the box office.

While Kapil's show was aired after Baahuabli- The Beginning' on Sony, the Ranveer Singh- Deepika Padukone- Priyanka Chopra starrer broadcasted after Naagin', another high TRP raking show of Colors.

All these factors combined to give Kapil Sharma a second position in race of two competitors.
