Ashoka Met Devi When He was 18
At the age of 18, when Ashoka became the Viceroy
of Ujjain, and entered the province to curb a revolt,
he came in contact with a merchant's daughter.
She was quite different from the other girls and
very compassionate towards other people
including the poor and animals. This quality of
hers attracted Ashoka so much that he fell in love
with her.
The two married and after 2 years of their
marriage, a son was born to them - Mahendra.
Devi was from VIdisha and she continued to stay
there forever. She never went to Patliaputra with
her husband and so both of her children Mahendra
and Sanghamitra grew up in VIdisha itself.
Ashoka Met Kaurwaki Later When
He Was Sent to Kalinga in exile
After curbing the revolt of Ujjain when Rajkumar
Ashoka came to Pataliaputra, Rajkumar Sushim
was jealous that everybody including his father
Samrat Bindusar is happy with him. He then
executed a plan in which Ashoka was sent to exile
in Kalinga. It was in Kalinga that Ashoka met
Kaurwaki. So the meeting of Ashoka and Karuvaki
was much later unlike shown. When he met
Karuvaki, he was already married to Devi.

no actually he loved kaurwaki first he assumes she is dead and marries devi.when he actually comes to kalinga then he comes to know kaurwaki ia alive.i have read this in some where in ashoka history

You are right buddy but mahadevi came to patliaputra when ashok decided to accept Buddha dharma.
She was main reason behind this change of ashoka.
And u know ashoka celebrated this moment with grand welcome function.
And in 63 or 64 age mahadevi died because of some sickness...
U know when radhagupta insulted mahadevi because of her cast in court...
Mahadevi leaved patliaputra and ashoka tried his best to brought her back to home.
But mahadevi denied his request at every time... Which made ashoka more furious and to show up his power and ignorant behavior to mahadevi he married with many women and made many concubines.

U know it is real history of ashoka and because it that CV murdered this great warrior's life brutally so I already stopped to see this serial.
Not only in this serial but also in every film and serial they use to destroy our history brutally on name of so called NATIKIYE RUPANTARAN.

They do it only for trp and for their big profit.
I hate themthem 😡

U know dear if they showed real love story of mahadevi and ashoka.
Trust me dear this show had trp more then today.
When I read it I felt it totally amazing buddy.
It is quite different from others.
U say right ashoka waited long time to get married with mahadevi because mahadevi already rejected his proposal
Because of his cruel image but at end he got success in his love mission. 😉 😳
