If this crime were committed in the US on similarly popular American stars then it would be prosecuted by US officials naturally. The US government has no idea who either of these people are, doesn't care and probably doesn't have jurisdiction to prosecute regardless so no they are unlikely to further investigate on their own. But if the appropriate Indian officials take the necessary steps to advance the case it will be. If there is probable cause (which there seems to be) a US court would issue a subpoena for records from the internet provider, but a person or official of standing needs to make a case for it before a US court. The question is, will the Indian police care enough to follow through?
