How can he just walk out on me, wondered Khushi as somehow it did not connect to the dot she wanted to. She thought that he will accept that he wanted to do that and do what she had thought of and was prepared for but he didn't. He just walked off on her without uttering any indecent nonsense or even trying to touch her in an indecent manner.
The air of surprise and shock was soon replaced with pain as she realized the situation she was in. She was in her nuptial chamber, not waiting for her husband as she was to be but instead reminded him of what he did to her life and her sister's life. Her heart took the dare of visualizing the possible situation with Lavanya but she couldn't bear it. She couldn't bear the fact maybe her sister was being forced. Lavanya had bound her with the chains of affection and love through her words and Khushi knew no escape from it.
As the emotional burden increased, Khushi felt that she could no longer hold on to the heavy ensemble she was decked up with and chose to change as the night was anything but romantic where she could hope that the romantic fantasy of her where her husband replaces every jewellery of hers with his endearing kisses to come true. Khushi jerked out from her visualization of herself and Arnav in that situation as she questioned herself about her loyalties and priorities, unable to bear the fact that he still had that irresistible effect on her.
Khushi got changed and sat down on the couch in the corner of the room as she stared at the flowers used to decorate their nuptial bed. Poor Anjali Ji and Nani Ji, they would have been so excited when they found out that their Chotte is finally ready to get married. Too bad they don't know about how cruelly these marriages were arranged, thought Khushi.
Like the sky which blanketed with the faint beautiful light of the moon and the glistening stars was unreachable from the window, sleep, peace and solace were beyond the reach of the windows to her soul as her heart was too tempestuous with the happenings of the day. And she couldn't bring herself to trust Arnav to be decent with her when her consciousness was locked away in the peaceful chambers of slumber.
Suddenly the door slammed open to reveal Arnav Singh Raizada, the man of Khushi's thoughts while Khushi jumped to her feet as if she was trying to prepare herself for the battle which was to ensue in a few seconds. She could make out that something was different in his demeanor. Arnav Singh Raizada was anything but clumsy as he was too confident and poised for that. But surprisingly, he couldn't even close the door without crashing himself on that.
Had he fallen down and hurt himself?
Khushi shut the concerned side of her heart to his image as he walked his way towards Khushi as her nose soon filled with pungent smell, which she identified to be of alcohol. Then it struck to her that the man in front of her was drunk. But people only drank out of their addiction or with a desire to attain nihility from the pain they had endured and as far as she knew this man was not even fond of alcohol forget the addiction.
Does that mean he was in pain?
Before Khushi could draw out a conclusion by herself, Arnav began speaking while dropping himself opposite to Khushi as she moved back,
" I know I have made a horrendous mistake when I forced you to marry me but I swear on NK, I cared less about my business then. All that was in my mind was to not let you go. There was always the irresistible attraction in between us. The attraction whose sparks flew since our first meet but it was that day, when you had accepted my proposition to marry me when I realized that the sparks had changed their color. Now it was not irresistible attraction from my side, it was irresistible love from which I couldn't escape. The love which blinded me from the wrong which I did, the love which craved your presence in my life. Only if I could cherish my love in the way I wanted. But that doesn't change the fact. The fact that I love you. More than anything in this world, for which I am ready to lose my everything."
And he fell over her while Khushi had to hold the couch behind her to stop herself from falling both due to weight on her and the torment on her heart.
He loved her?
Arnav Singh Raizada actually loved her?
She couldn't even bring herself to support Arnav who had passed out in front of her as she was too shocked by the revelation.
What was going to happen? What will be Khushi's reaction post the shock stage fades out?
