I don't know which one was a hit but HDDCS is definitely more romantic and entertaining...Devdas was just a over the top, overrated, indulgent affair of SLB!!!

It doesn't matter ...because HDDCS was a far more superior movie while Devdas was pure trash...Shahrukh howled in the movie ..so much rona dhona ...gosh ..atleast Salman cried just for 5 minutes in the last scene of HDDCS...why in the world does SLB make his heroes cry anyways when he can't make them do it properly..😵...Devdas was cheesy and made me sleep...while HDDCS was entertaining and I can watch it again and again..

so for me HDDCS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Devdas the trash.

HDDCS was a semi-hit all these years before BOI changed it to Clean hit 2 years back and Devdas was always a hit despite its mega budget so ye Devdas

I don't think you can't really compare the BO since both movies released in different years.

but devdas got more critical acclaim right? it was india's submission into the oscars, got nominated for bafta foreign film I think? and also got several NA.

which is funny because HDDCS was the better film imo

HDDCS was a good movie with great music-salman,aish,ajay⭐️

Devdas-SRK & Aish👍🏼Madhuri's heavy dresses and amrud churane waali OTT scene of Mrs.Kher made my head spin in the theater..Music was good but I do not like tragedies😒
