" But you wouldn't dare to do it this time, darling." Arnav's naughty smirk managed to excite Khushi as she turned nervous knowing the way his thoughts were running.

" And what makes you think that, Mr.Raizada?" Khushi questioned looking straight into his eyes with a seductive glint in her eyes only to tease him further.

" You wouldn't be stupid enough to risk your future, baby. I know that." Khushi gave him a look of surprise and confusion while Arnav's lips moved further to a side.

" Risk my future?" questioned Khushi curiously while Arnav looked at her with a naughty glint making Khushi realize that he was doing all this intentionally and the conversation was heading towards something she didn't want.

" I know you love children so I don't think you would want to risk your chances of having your own yet again by kicking me." Arnav's flirtatious words managed to make a light hue of crimson splash against her warm cheeks against her will.

" Tumhe Tho Main Chodoongi Nahi Arnav Singh Raizada!" Khushi started banging her fists against him as he began laughing just as he caught the hands hitting him with his own,

" Chodne Ke Liye Kisne Kaha Hai!"

He pulled her into himself as he engulfed her into a warm embrace knowing that they have to part now only to meet soon and Khushi as if had read his mind sang,

" Tujhse Judaa Hokar Mujhe Door Jaana Hai. Pal Bhar Ki Judaai Phir Laut Ke Aana Hai. Saathiya Sang Rahega Tera Pyaar. Saathiya Rang Layega Intezaar. We will be back together Arnav and this time without nothing stopping us as when we are together, nothing can defeat us."

Even as she was offering words of consolation to him, she felt her own eyes tear up as she tried to memorize everything about this moment so that she can live it in every second away from him.

Arnav cursed his destiny which gave him the biggest happiness of his life only to snatch it the next moment. Just as Khushi openly reciprocated his love for her, they had to part but this time with a hope that they will meet. Meet again with tears in their eyes again, but that time the tears would be of extreme happiness.

Khushi had lied to her parents that she was going to Lucknow to meet Lavanya whom they knew and they trusted and Lavanya was ready to lie to Khushi's parents to ensure that Arnav and Khushi are happy. She mentally thanked Lavanya for her help without which meeting Arnav would have been impossible.

The very name Arnav managed to send shivers across her spine and blanketed her skin with goosebumps as she reminisced their first kiss initiated by Arnav just as Khushi was leaving. Her reaction was impromptu and involuntary and it was as if she was doing it since ages as it felt so perfect and so right.

She jerked herself back to present knowing that she had to start on convincing her mother about her wedding because running way was never an option for them owing to the contacts with her father had in the political world.

She was on the other side of the threshold of house of the other woman in her father's life, her Sumitra Maa who had lived upto her name which meant good friend.

Khushi opened her heart to her Sumitra Maa over the next 30 minutes while she heard Khushi's story with utmost concern and love.

" I tried stopping your Papa when he arranged your marriage against your will with Rahul but he never listened to me. I never wanted the fate which strangled me to strangle you too, Khushi. But I am sorry I couldn't do anything then but I promise you I will do everything I can to unite you with Arnav." Khushi pulled herself away from Sumitra's shoulders which were cocooning her into Sumitra's warmth as her mind registered that she was forced into the marriage.

" Maa? You were forced into this marriage?" Khushi eyed at her Sumitra Maa, her best friend with whom she could share anything and get motherly warmth in return in a hurt manner, while tears flowed out of her eyes thinking of her plight.

" My parents wanted a good home, a reputed family with loads of money and they thought that money could buy happiness. They thought this alliance was fortune knocking at our door. They couldn't see how wrong it was. Your father was a married man, who had you as his daughter already but he wanted a son. They thought it is perfectly right for him to think so and thought I would get the best life by wrecking someone else'. I know he would have married someone else and Jiji's home would still be wrecked but that doesn't let me out of the guilt I have been living in. And hence I wouldn't want my fate for you, Khushi. A fate chosen with a desire for something greater than one possesses and A fate chosen by someone else for you, against your feelings and against you."

Sumitra managed to smile through her tears while bile rose up till Khushi's tongue thinking about her father whose desire for a son had destroyed two women's lives.

" I am so sorry that you had to face this, Maa.I know a sorry wouldn't be enough for what you have endured but you deserve every apology from us. And we have to apologize to you." Khushi embraced Sumitra out of guilt while she affectionately caressed her hair while speaking,

" Why should you be guilty of something that my parents did, Beta? What happened has happened, we cannot change what happened. We can only change the future and we will. Your Papa is going for a business tour for 4 days and I think that will be best time for us to convince Jiji to accept this. Bas Jiji Maan Jaye, then everything will get under control. People can only take advantage when they think you are weak and cannot fight back. Once Jiji feels what you are doing is right and is ready to fight for you, Sudhakar Ji wouldn't be able to do anything. As much as it hurts me to tell this, Sudhakar Ji always possessed the mindset which many people still possess which had things like you become greater if you offer more dowry, your daughter is nothing but clause of a deal which attracts other companies and hence did he choose Rahul. He was from a big business family and Sudhakar Ji wanted a Jamaai like him whom he can boast about. And since Arnav has won so many awards and has become one of the top entrepreneurs of India, I don't think Sudhakar Ji will have any problems. Whatever it is, you will not step back Khushi Bitiya. You will fight this time and I am with you."

Disgusted at the mindset of her father, astounded by the love of her step mother who probably understood and cared for her more than her own mother, Khushi stood like a life in a storm, unable to standstill as she was too taken by the events.

Where will this take her to? Will Sumitra and Khushi succeed?
