Queen vs Krrish battle: Kangana Ranaut gets summoned
The actress will have to record her statement within two days of receipt of the document
There have been allegations and counter-allegations from Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut. Now the case has taken another turn. The cops have now sent summons to Kangana to record her statement. After receiving the summons, the actress will now have to convey the date, time and place convenient to her so that the officials can conduct an interview.
As Kangana's sister Rangoli too has been mentioned in the official document, she too may have to record her statement. Though the place, date and time will be of Kangana's choice the procedure will be have to be conducted within the two days of the receipt of the summons. If the actress fails to abide, the cops will take further action.
What the letter says
Whereas a complaint has been filed u/s 419 IPC r/w 66C, 66D of IT Act vide CR No. 78/16. As it is pertinent for the investigation to analyse the digital documents, whose access you reserve and record your statement. You are requested to intimate date-time and place of your convenience so that the undersigned can conduct the interview within two days of receipt of this summons. Kindly note that this summons is dispatched u/s 160&91 of CrPC and failure to abide shall attract liability u/s 174 of IPC.
How it began...
It was at Karan Johar's party on May 25, 2014, that Hrithik found out about a person communicating with Kangana, impersonating him. That is when the actor shared his correct email ID with her. She refused to believe there could be an imposter and began sending emails to his account. Hrithik then filed a complaint with the cyber crime unit about the fake email ID. It has since come to light that she was interacting with an imposter.
The legal war
In January this year, Kangana referred to Hrithik as her "silly ex" in an interview when she was asked about her being ousted from Aashiqui 3. Hrithik sent a notice to Kangana demanding an unconditional apology' for a defaming' remark in an interview where she allegedly referred to him as her ex'. He maintains nothing ever transpired between them. And there is no photograph, text message or email to support that they were indeed involveed. On March 1, Kangana's lawyer sent him a notice stating, "She is not some dim-witted teenager who has been smitten and that whatever happened between the two of them was with full consent of both parties." Recently, Kangana's lawyer has also sent a letter to the Mumbai police commissioner alleging circulation of her private photographs and emails to "third parties" by the actor.
The engagement theory
Sources close to Kangana reveal they got engaged in January 2014 in Paris. Hrithik's lawyers have presented his passport to disclaim this story. Turns out, Hrithik never visited the city in that month.
