This generations believes in not going with what the society thinks, and we believe 'log kiya kahen gaye' is utter nonsense and it has ruined many's live. We believe in giving everyone freedom to what they wan to do the that extent that they are not harming others and causing any trouble. Basically whatever you wish to because you will not get another life

But then we are the first one to criticize when someone wish to go under the knife and does some surgery. They get bashed,abused and laughed at. Blaming them for ruining their face but what if they want it this way, they like it this way?? They must have know what will be result thats why they opted for it so why become hypocrites and start bashing them. I know you might not like that but why bash them for doing what they wanted to? You then become the society which you were against. You become the 'log kiya kahen gaye'. So it makes us no one but hypocrites.

I am not saying to give out your opinion but people start mocking the actress or anyone who goes under the knife.

Whats your opinion on this??

Well, "do what you wish" doesn't mean anything and everything is ok. Not everything is Ok just because it concerns you in the first place and doesn't concern the society directly. In that way even if someone takes drugs or smokes/drinks too much, he too is not doing wrong just because they are harming themselves and not others? I dont think it works that way.

Women/Men going under the knife has always been discouraged or mocked because it sets the wrong example in the society. In a country like India Cinema is a religion and these actors are demi gods. Girls want their boyfriends/husbands to have a physique like a bw actor and men want a girlfriend as beautiful and hot as these actresses. But they don't understand that all these actors have achieved such perfect looks by god knows how many surgeries. And the result of this is that people have forgotten to appreciate natural beauty, both in reel and real. By going under the knife these actors actually support the propaganda of having that perfect bod and razor sharp features which neither are given to many people naturally nor can everyone afford it. And we all must agree that it has created complex among people in such an unhealthy manner. And thats the reason any actor who changes something about their looks in an unnatural manner needs to be discouraged for setting all the wrong examples and setting wrong expectations. In real people arent perfect and so aren't their physical features.

And it's not just in India, people even abroad mock anyone who tries to adopt these unnatural ways of looking good, just go to any of PC's interviews or shows videos and the Americans have everywhere mentioned that she looks much different from what she looked during her Miss World days. This is not about hypocrisy this is about not encouraging anything thats unnatural.

I meant to say they they do things that doesnt harm other and them too. What others think of surgeries is not the fault of those who practice it. Natural beauty i understand but wanting to look beautiful through surgeries should not be a taboo. Its not wrong, its just someone wants to look beautiful. I know that they are naturally good looking but still its desire that keeps us going/ I am not talking about only India but every where else and I find it wrong.

The idea behind encouraging people to do what they really want to do, and not go by society standards, is to understand that every human being is different and that they should have confidence in their own existence and skin and then live their lives doing what makes them happy.

Plastic surgeries are something that reject the basic premise of above logic. People who opt for such cosmetic surgeries for any non-medical reasons, are maybe not happy enough with their own bodies (or some particular body part). The idea is that they should accept their existence as it is and have the basic inner confidence to work towards their happiness for real and not use such superficial means.

Yeah you're right.

People should do whatever they wanna do. Their body, their life, their wishes. If someone doesn't like it, they should just stop looking at them.

But I guess people say it when someone ruins their already beautiful face. That makes people confused and shocked that how can someone sabotage their own beauty... case in point: Anushka Sharma.
