OKAY, so a disclaimer for anyone who hasn't watched the episode yet, It's filled with violence! A little too much for my liking tbh. Keep your children away, you do not wanna expose them to such violent aunties. That said, it was a pretty good episode overall.
Things I liked: I want to say that today's episode was all about female empowerment but the mob violence at the beginning left a sour taste in my mouth (more about that later) so I'm going to hold that inscription for a later episode I guess. But I love how Leela stood up to Anita. Mama Taneja just roared and subdued Mrs. Luthra like a pro! "Aik ma tab tak sahmti hai jab uska bacha khatare mai hota ha, leiken jab bache to chot ati hai na, to wou chup nai rehti" THAT DIALOGUE WAS EVERYTHING! It captures the emotions of a mother perfectly! (See, all the family planing talk is invoking my maternal instincts😉) Like Mother, like Daughter. Twinkle too faced her demons on her own. I was waiting for Kunj to show up when Twinkle was standing in front of the mirror but I'm so glad he didn't. She fought that battle by herself and came out stronger than ever! The whole Yuvi showdown was spectacular, that one Thapad was well deserved! And the HUG! OMG, the hug. It was the first time I didn't melt in a puddle of mush after a twinj hug. I didn't fangirl, I fan-womaned 😆 That hug made me so proud of the two. The action represented their support for each other. It showed that they're a team, that they're equals. LOVED IT!
Things I didn't like: Why was the first scene necessary? Why did they have to include it in the episode? It didn't add anything to the storyline, except maybe show the viewers how evil Anita and Yuvi are, and we know that already so...Also, the scene between Leela and Anita didn't require any physical violence, the dialogues were strong enough to convey Leela's feelings! Okay, maybe just one slap cause Anita's such a B but multiple slaps, I don't know, that made me uncomfortable.
