BollywoodLife revealed to you sometime back how Yash Raj Films head honcho Aditya Chopra has issued strict diktat to Ali Abbas Zafar and team Sultan to complete their movie in time. The makers plan to release Sultan on Salman's lucky Eid date this year. At the same time Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment backed Rahul Dholakia film Raees also plan to stick to the Eid date for their much awaited SRK starrer.

Of course unlike Salman - Anushka Sharma starrer Sultan that is still being filmed, Shah Rukh's film that marks the debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is through with the shoot. The cast and crew is done with their work and now the film will be readied for edits and sent to the Censor Board soon. Salman's movie we hear has two more schedules pending. A source close to the movie revealed, "Salman and Anushka will leave for Delhi to can a few important scenes and from there they will wrap and leave for the final film schedule in Bulgaria."

This means that Shah Rukh Khans movie beat Salman's film in round one. The Raees actors can now gear up for their promotions and the makers we bet want put in all their energies in the edits all this while team Sultan is still on the sets. With the way things are moving we're certain that YRF team too is either prepping up for quick edits or may be has already started work to get Sultan on 70mm this Eid. But as far as completion of the movie is concerned seems like SRK's Raees has hit the finish line ahead of Salmans Sultan coring their first point in the big battle.
