From being a negative role to turning positive and getting married twice and all the adventures in between, I wouldn't say what didn't work , I think it worked pretty well, the character, the experience everything, for which I am thankful. But when there is nothing more contribute to the show and character's scope is diminished then as an actor you don't feel excited. So personally it stops working for you."
Isha Sharma calls it quits with Jamai Raja

Actress Isha Sharma, who made quite an impact with her negative role as Kritika in Jamai Raja, will no longer be a part of the show. The actress has not been happy with the way her character is being sidelined and has thus decided to bid adieu.
Confirming the same, Isha says, "I believe every character has a journey and Kritika's journey has reached its destination. The storyline for my character has become stagnant. I don't think there is any scope for things to improve in the coming days. There is no point in continuing, so I decided to call it quits and look for something that will excite me."
While the character was well received for Isha's portrayal and also the multiple layers it had, the show-runners decided to give the Kritika a positive spin. Unfortunately, the idea backfired and the character lost its spark.
This triggered creative differences between Isha and the makers, leading to her eventual decision to quit the show. "I think playing Kritika for more than a year made me do everything I wanted. I first played a negative character, which then turned positive. As Kritika, I got married twice and I even gave shape to developments in her story. But when there is nothing more to contribute and the character's scope is diminished, you don't feel excited as an actor. And I think that is when things stop working for you and the differences crop up," she added.
