I'm doing some research paper on gender codes in India and have a few questions that I've not been able to find answers to. Are there any specific areas in India where a certain gender is not allowed, for example in the some regions in the Middle East, women are not allowed in the hammams.

another question is about gender indoctrination, how are children taught their gender roles for the furture. I know the second question is a bit broad and can vary because of India's wide varity of cultures however I really would like to know an answer for my first question and if any sources could be provided.

Thanks a mil,

Hemil
