i guess he is way too embarrassed and shy to show he cares for people around him especially Shona and in order to cover the soft mellow side of his, he says complete opposite of what is in his heart...like,
meri wajah se aap late hogayi isiliye im dropping you back - like, of course we know he is too gentlemanly and wont let her go alone this late 😛. he has done the same even earlier when he made her wait till midnight to talk about his moms health and asked driver to drop her home.😆
he feels a thing and says the opposite of it, and Shona believes what he admits to, and later realizes ki jo ye dikta hai wo ye hai nahi aur jo ye hai wo dikta nahi😆😉😆
