LINK : Thankyou Mihir Promo Analysis
hey say 'A Little Thanks Goes A Long Way'. When we were kids we were told or rather taught that saying "please" and "thank you" was important...that it was a way of recognizing the efforts made by a person.
Well the same holds true for the latest promo of Star Plus show Tamanna where Dhara recognizes Mihir for the massive efforts he has taken to ruin her life in every which way possible.
The promo shows Dhara (Anuja Sathe) arriving at the city of Meerut along with her daughter while Mihir (Vishal Gandhi) is seen reading a letter written to him by Dhara where she thanks him for everything he ever did to and for her.
She thanks Mihir for the tears he has given her.
She thanks Mihir for crushing the trust she had placed on him.
She thanks Mihir for forcing her to open her eyes while she was blindly in love with him.
She thanks Mihir for demeaning her self-respect every single time.
And finally she thanks him for giving her the opportunity to live the next phase of her life the way she wants.
While Dhara speaks the initial 4 lines she is shown taking the first steps of building a new life for herself and her daughter in Meerut; and once again allowing cricket back into her life coz we see her daughter hands over a cricket ball which overwhelms Dhara as she accepts it.
However when the last line is being said we see a cricket practice ground with some young boys presumably trainees, joined by Dhara who has a duffel bag over her shoulder and is seen dressed in a track suit that has 'Coach' written on it indicating the new life she has embraced where not only does she get to live her life with her head held high but she also gets to live her dream of doing something in cricket which is her passion.
The promo is inspiring at so many levels and has come out very beautifully with a strong message of never giving up in life.
The world has come to a point where we see more weaklings than fighters. Every minute there are news about suicides because people simply want the easiest way out. But in doing so they forget the people they leave behind and the implications of their rash decision.
Dhara could have taken the easiest way out if wanted. She had suffered enough at the hands of Mihir and his dual-faced nature; but even when things got bad, even when situations got difficult she pushed through it all relentlessly without giving up. Dhara always managed to keep the light within her burning. And this is why when Mihir pushed her to the edge, she did not break instead she mustered the courage and will-power to walk out of her marriage than give him the satisfaction of breaking her apart.
Dhara refused to give Mihir that power over her which reflects into that beautiful contented smile and confident walk as the promo comes to an end.
Nobody said life was going to be a bed full of roses, it is bound to have thorns in it...but it is you who decide the path you want to tread. Dhara made her choice and we say she made awe-inspiring one.
The promo in no way highlights that one should be thankful for all the bad things in life or for the atrocities faced in life; rather it shows that even in the darkest of times...there is always hope!!!
