Make way 4 Punjabi Pataka Pihu Bhalla; Ruhanika shines in a new role

Step aside Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt because we have a new star in the making, well she has been a star for the past 2 years, but we think she has been promoted to the ranks of SUPERSTAR with her recent portrayal!!!!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen the actor or rather the superstar in question here is Ruhanika Dhawan who has been entertaining viewers all over the globe with her portrayal of Ruhi Raman Bhalla in Star Plus popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and recently left everybody speechless in the same series where she portrays another role.

When the news of YHM taking a leap started making the rounds recently and in the past; more than the leap and its possible side effects on Ishita-Raman's love-story; majority of the fans and viewers were anxious to know if Ruhanika would be a part of the show post the leap.

Truth be told such a reaction wasn't surprising because the young actor who is nothing short of a power-house performer and can give even the mighty talented Karan Patel and Divyanaka Tripathi a run for their money; was the first character that the viewers connected with and instantly. So to see that character gone wasn't something acceptable to say the least.

When Ruhanika's Instagram account overlooked by her mother Dolly Dhawan posted a picture of the young actor with the words "Au revoir" panic broke out because not only was the news of the possible leap becoming a reality; but it also meant that Ruhi would no longer be a part of the show and hence by proxy Ruhanika Dhawan.

Ekta Kapoor and her team have taken some pretty amazing decisions regarding YHM in the earlier stages of the show and the brilliance of those decisions can be seen the earlier episodes which was more than amazing. They also took some pretty bad creative decisions regarding YHM in the recent past; but one of the latest decision taken by the team which is applaud worthy is retaining Ruhanika Dhawan who is truly an asset to YHM as Pihu Raman Bhalla - Ishita and Ramans's child.

There is no doubt that Ruhanika is a star performer, she has proved it time and again with her portrayal of Ruhi which is exactly why it's hard for the viewers and fans to see her go. And now that the actress had made a come back as Pihu she does not disappoint one bit because Pihu is simply mind-blowing which shows that Ruhanika has indeed caught the nerve of the character and knows how to make it click.

A full blow Punjabi Pataka, Pihu Bhalla is obsessed with Desi Shows to an extent that she is even ready to keep 'Santhoshi Maa ka vrat' so that her favorite character will overcome all the hurdles easily. For the untrained eyes there won't be much difference between Ruhi and Pihu but those who have been watching YHM since day 1 can say that Pihu is nothing like Ruhi. She looks exactly like her Ruhi, her elder sister when the latter was 7 years but the similarity ends there.

Her actions, her expression or at times even over the top (OTT) ones are a treat to watch. The shudh hindi that comes in from time to time is a nice touch and while we have a drama queen at hand, there is a good balance maintained where the innocence of Ruhanika is not hampered by the way her character is written; rather it enhances it.

Ruhanika Dhawan has been a part of YHM since she was 5 years old, today at the age of 8 the young actress has evolved more and seems to have more grasp over technical concepts and acting in general because it reflects in her work. Be it Ruhi or Pihu; it is such a pleasure to watch Ruhanika perform on screen that it kinda makes you realize how lifeless YHM would have been with out Ms.Dhawan.
