Chapter 3
A new morning, A new beginning. When she woke up, her husband brought breakfast for her, cooked by himself which was another surprise for her. When she asked him the reason of this special, he said. "Its not good to work in this condition." Which had her rolling her eyes at him, and that moment she knew her pregnancy journey was going to remember with her husband cum over-possessive soon to be daddy by her side. "Rey, I'm pregnant, not ill. And i have to do some work else i'll get mad, i can't sit ideally." She argued with him while having her breakfast.
"Fine! But you can do anything except kitchen work." Rey replied to her, taani frowned, she wanted to argue but decided to keep quiet and think over this later."That we will see, Mr. Singhania." She mumbled in bare audible tone, Rey look at her with confused expression, not understanding what she had said. "Did you said something?" Rey questioned her, taani wanted to smile at his cute expression.
"Nope! Breakfast was yummy, thank you for it. Go, get ready, you are getting late for office. I'll take out your things-" Taani said to him, she hurriedly stepped down from the bed, and worried Rey was immediately by her side. "You should not get up in hurry. It can cause dizziness, you can trip or you can-" Rey told her in do's & don'ts tone. "I'll be careful, Now relax." Taani calmed him, Rey sighed and look at her with seriousness in his eyes. Taani patted his cheek and passed him a cheeky smile before she moved toward the closet. She took out his clothes and placed them on the bed along with his wallet, handkerchief and wrist watch. Rey smiled seeing her doing her wifely duties as she say.
Even though their marriage was a mere contract between them, but she never stepped back from fulfilling her duties toward him and his family, she was the perfect wife any man would want. "Here is new project's file, you asked for it last night." Taani took out a file from closet and handed it to him. "Thanks, I totally forgot about it." Rey mumbled, he thanked her with a smile. "In evening, bring some ice cream with you. I have a habit of having ice cream in middle of the night and guess what, baby too likes it." She told him happily, running her palm over her belly. His eyes followed her movement, a sudden happiness seeped through him. He stepped forward, toward her. Her brows knitted in confusion, but her confusion flew away when he placed his palm over her belly, the gentleness yet possessiveness in his touch left with with jittery feeling. She had never experience this before.
"What else my baby likes?" Rey asked in his huskiest low tone, causing her heart to skip a beat. She wonder if he had always have this affect on her? May be yes, he had this kind of affect on her since start but she never showed it to him. "Your baby likes bitter gourd which i loath, but yesterday i was craving for it so i asked mom to cook karele ki sabzi for me. Baby also likes to watch shinchan which is okay with me, since i too adore shinachan. Till now, i have notice all this-" Taani told him everything she had observed till now. Rey was listening to her with utmost concentration, and couldn't help but admire her how she talks, that cute pout of hers was tempting, he couldn't deny that.
"Why do you & baby like karela? I don't like it but i have to eat it because of you two-" Taani complained cutely, Rey let out a chuckle seeing the cute complain made by his wife. He wonder how she manage to be so cute that she can give tough competition to a toddler when it comes to cuteness. "We can't help it, sorry, mumma-bear." Rey whispered softly while his fingers were caressing her belly over the silky material of her nightie, her inside clenched in anticipation. Her pregnancy had started to make her horny, she won't deny that, atleast not after the steamy hot dream she had last night.
"Did you had your breakfast?" Taani asked her husband, who nodded his head negatively. "You get ready till then i'll bring your breakfast." Taani said to him."Alright, but remember, no other work." Rey told her sternly causing her to frown at him. "Fine. You can give tough competition to hitler when it comes to bossing around-" Rey narrowed his eyes at his wife's comment and chose to ignore it. Taani shook her head and walked out of the room while Rey got ready for his office.

Rey was in business meet with shekhawat's along with his dad. Rishi & Swayum shekhawat were their business partner and family friends, and also taani's father and brother. "Rey, you will have to leave for jaipur today, to see the construction sight. Apparently, workers are facing some problems and i want you to go and check everything personally." Ranvijay said to his son who was alerted hearing it. "Sorry, dad, I can't go."
"But why?" Swayum questioned him, confusingly. He would have gone himself, but there are some work that needed him to be in delhi. Rey sighed, he hadn't told them about taani's pregnancy yet, actually no one in their families know about it."Taani is expecting and i am not feeling right leaving her alone. Mom has also gone to visit nani-ma, she will be alone at home if i go-" Rey told them calmly. He watched how all were shocked initially but then, all smiled hearing the news.
"Thats a great news, Rey. I'm happy for you son." Ranvijay beamed in happiness, it was the happiest news for him. First he was excited to have his grandson or granddaughter and secondly, it proves everything is alright between his son & daughter-in-law. Knowing his son very well, he knew it will time for rey to accept taani as his wife when he forced him to marry her, but now his happiness knew no bound seeing he had finally accepted this marriage.
Since start he knew about his son's liking toward a certain girl, Nandini. But call him selfish, he didn't find her perfect for his son. She was good but had no status or background, working as a bar-attender, She was not what he wanted as a daughter-in-law. He wanted perfect for his son and that perfection he found in taani. Just a glimpse of her, he decided his son will marry her only. She was everything he wanted in his son's life partner. She was kind, sweet, a beautiful soul with business mind and above all, she had status which made her equal to his son.
"Oh god! I can't believe, my princess is grown up. My baby girl is going to become mother. I wish her mother was still alive too see her-" Rishi said with slight moist eyes. Swayum kept a comforting hand on his shoulder, he was happy too, for his friend and baby sister. After their mother's death, he & his father weren't able to give her the time she deserve from them. But it gives happiness to him knowing she is happy in her life.
"Congrats, Rey." Swayum smiled at his brother-in-law. Rey gave a small smile in return, he hadn't expect such reaction from them, to be honest. "Uncle, I'll go jaipur." Swayum stepped forward and decided to go since Rey will be needed here. Rishi & Ranvijay nodded in agreement while Rey was relived as now he doesn't have to leave his pregnant wife alone at home.

Singhania Mansion
Taani was in her room, laying on the bed and reading her favorite novel, this is what she had left to do, since her husband had strictly warn her to not to step into the kitchen. She was in her PJs as they were more comfortable than any other outfit. "Good evening, taani." Rey greeted her with a smile as he entered the room. "Good evening. Did you bring my ice cream?"
Rey chuckled seeing her excitement and nodded his head positively. "Its in fridge." Taani smiled and thanked him. Rey placed his laptop bag on the couch and moved toward the closet, he took out a pair of casuals and went in washroom to get freshen up and change his clothes while taani went downstairs to make his coffee and hot chocolate for herself. Its their routine after their marriage, they sat in balcony of their room and have their evening drinks with each other while having some random conversation, it has not only help them to killed the awkwardness that was between them but also help them to each other better.

Taani sat on the comfortable swing in balcony while he sat on the floor facing her with his back rested against the wall. "How was your day?" Taani asked him, starting the conversation. "It was good. I told our fathers about your pregnancy." Rey told her while taking a sip of his coffee. "What was their reaction? Were they happy?"
"Happy? They were super happy. Swayum, dad, Rishi uncle, all were happy, infact i have never seen them so happy before. They even distributed sweets in office staff." Rey answered her, chuckling at the end of the sentence.
"Same happened here. In lunch time, I told mom about this and she was dancing, literally. I guess all are excited and happy with news of arrival of our little one." Taani said with a sweet smile, rubbing her belly. Rey smiled and nodded in agreement. "I have an off tomorrow. Do you want to go out?" Rey asked her causing her to look at him in surprise, it wasn't like he had never took her out, but before it was always because his parents, mostly his mother forced him to take her out on dates and outings which were meaningless at that time.
"Sure. We can go out for lunch..in my favorite restaurant." Taani told him after masking her surprise filled expression with a smile. "Waise bhi, I'm tired of eating bland khichdi, karela and medicines from past two days. I need change." Taani mumbled to herself in barely audible tone, but he heard her and smirked. "I heard that."
"Doesn't matter. You are taking me out for lunch tomorrow and thats final. And if you dare to deny then I'll go and sit on anshan, I'll fight for my rights."Taani said to him with authority in her tone. "You are crazy." Rey mumbled, smiling at her antics. She was crazy yet epitome of cuteness.
