Umm..A little background information...I have been away from desh for almost 10 years and please pardon my ignorance, because I do not know what all shows they be airing now...My only experience with desi shows are Akshara bahu, Sandhya beendni waale (these two names are stuck in my head) cringeworthy shows 🤢 that I'm forced to watch when my in-laws visit us... The few episodes that I ended up watching made no sense to me... Basically, what am trying to say is that based on my very poor knowledge about our shows, KYY was Bold, hatke or should I say in many ways it was very realistic..

To me, it was bold in the way they conceptualized the show... Showing a couple exploring intimacy, a FL being normal about her desires or even taking the lead, bringing up the topic of homosexuality & handling it very maturely (before Navya ke saath shaadi waala crap was shown)...

I know all this is very normal, but in India where people are used to the same old regressive kind of shows, coming up with something like this is a BOLD step... Not caring whether people would accept it or not was BOLD...

I'm not sure if I was able to put my point across well because I suck at writing & I hate typing, but I tried...

I would just like to add that nothing about Manan in the show was cheap or crass...no never...It was beautiful..It was a beautiful Love story, which by the way I claimed to get over yesterday. No, that ain't happening. Genie was right. Manan magic above all.
