Star Plus aired a new Yeh Hai Mohabbatein promo on 1st April 2016 which highlights the upcoming leap and how Ruhi's (Ruhanika Dhawan) loss on that unfateful day changed everybody's life especially Raman (Karan Patel) and Ishita's (Divyanka Tripathi).
At first it seemed like an April Fools prank...Hey, don't be surprised in the world of fiction anything is possible so why not?
However it turns out that the popular show is indeed keen on taking a leap as the 748th episode of YHM saw a leap of 7 years. So here we are with an analysis of the promo that went on-air earlier yesterday.
The promo shows a mighty angry and bitter Raman breaking a glass containing alcohol after he sees Ishita's image in it. The scene shifts and we see Ishita who is serving tea to a man on a wheelchair. The promo reaches its final stage which is a rock-concert with the lead Guitarist playing some awesome tunes while the crowd goes wild and chants Ruhaan' ... Ruhaan' ... Ruhaan'.
News about grown-up Ruhi henceforth playing Ruhaan - A tom boy, in the show has been making rounds for quite sometime and with this promo one can confirm the same.
So technically the promo showcases 3 key characters or what we like to call as the heart (Ishita), life (Raman) and soul (Ruhi) of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein in different phases of life; dealing with what happened 7 years ago in the way they seem fit.

While showing Raman the narrator says that the bitterness has returned into the man's life which probably means viewers will get to see RKB in first avatar that is when he was introduced in the show. However things can be more bitter this time because unlike Shagun, Ishita's meant something much more to Raman. He is angry... he is furious and to the extent that he breaks a glass because he see's Ishita's reflection in it. But why is Raman angry? Why is he holding a grudge against Ishita knowing that she is dead? Is he angry with Ishita because he lost his daughter and still holds Ishu responsible or is he angry because Ishu committed suicide (As shown in the episode and is considered the truth by all) thereby leaving him and their new born baby alone. Jo bhi hai, Raman's feelings towards Ishita has changed or rather he has masked his feelings real well thereby showing that he wants nothing to do with Ishita ever.

Ishita on the other hand seems to be doing what she does best. Helping others, spread happiness and even become the reason behind their smile. Truth be told Ishita's part of the promo is quite intriguing because we see Ishu with someone else, a man on a wheelchair while the narrator mentions that Ishita is the reason for somebody's smile; presumably that man's smile. But who is this man?

Coming to the final angle of the promo Ruhaan who seems to be very popular but that's the only bit the promo will reveal. However what is interesting is that Ruhaan's bit coincides with the narrator words that go "Kya Raman-Ishita ko phir koi layega ek saat?". Ruhi has always been the link between Ishita and Raman. True IshRa found love and happiness together and their relationship reached a point where it was no longer defined by Ruhi ke liye'; but even then Ruhi has always been a catalyst when it comes to IshRa's relationship. If Ruhi's death is still the reason that makes Raman hold a grudge against Ishita then according to the promo it is Ruhi or Ruhaan who will bring them together yet again.
The new promo is actually quite impressive because it sheds light on the past, present and even illuminates the future. It's been 7 years since IshRa went their separate ways, a love like theirs does not perish or wither away that easily and therefore it would be interesting to see how this Mohabbatein will move forward.
