Birthday bump!

Since it was Sonali Kulkarni's birthday on November 3, the channel decided to eliminate Sudha Chandran instead, from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Reality shows are not so real after all. The buzz doing the rounds is that Sudha Chandran's elimination from the show was unfair. Sudha was suddenly eliminated from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa instead of Sonali. Apparently, the channel

Sudha Chandran and Umashankar
was just being 'kind' to Sonali because November 3 (the day of elimination) was incidentally her birthday.

Sudha Chandran, a renowned dancer, earned top scores on the show in previous weeks and was shocked when she was suddenly bumped off. When she tried reasoning with the channel she was told that she didn't get enough votes that week. Sudha says, "How could I be eliminated, and not Sonali? The channel told me that I hadn't got enough votes. But I can vouch for the fact that I'm extremely popular among the viewers, and judges have only showered praises on me right from episode one."

Does she suspect foul play? She says, "I'm not too sure about that. But if it's true then it's unethical and shameful. Let me tell you, I have already lost my faith in these reality-based shows."

She further says that if November 3 was Sonali Kulkarni's birthday, it was her late mother, Sangam Chandra's birthday, too. And that she was equally heart-broken at her ouster. "If it was Sonali's birthday, then my late mother was born on the same day. She is not alive today, but she matters the most to me. I'm back on stage only because of her. Imagine how heart-broken I was on that day!"

Albert Ameida, executive VP and business head, Sony Television, however, says that the channel doesn't favour any celebrity contestant. He asserts, "It's clearly speculative. It's a fair competition. The channel doesn't favour any celebrity contestant on the show. We are trying to get back either Prachi or Sudha because they are the most popular and critically acclaimed contestants."

WHat bull$#!*... "Albert Ameida, executive VP and business head, Sony Television, however, says that the channel doesn't favour any celebrity contestant. He asserts, "It's clearly speculative. They are completly being unfair, and playing favoritism... if they weren't then why all of sudden thsi wildcard entry ONLY for Sudha and Prachi.... The other contestants just doesn't matter? Now I'm sure that this is all FIXED... Like Match fixing in cricket... Compititon is fixed and I'm sure they are just going to pick the cotestant (Have a feeling it is going to be one of the Ekta's wonder) and declare them as winner.

If this is the reason then its really very unfair ...Just because it was Someone's birthday u can't save her and eliminate a much more deserving candidate
The channel may say whatever they want but I m now beginning to feel that this JDJ is very much biased on certain contestents
