Agreed what Shalu did was not acceptable at all but Viplav should not let his emotions rule him too much. He realized his mistake and apologized but obviously Shalu will not listen to this. If I was in her place I would have reacted similarly to his slap. Viplav needs to handle the situation very discreetly and gently and Why didn't he inform her before deciding on the new alliance?

He did not inform her becoz he had no idea that she loved raja...he thought she is upset becoz her marriage did not happen

nikki

For a modern young man I feel he should be consulting his sister before even taking the first step before talking to the groom's side! Here he had already spoken to them and then told her that they were coming the next day.

I'm sorry nick no way i favor viplav's actions ...the slap was not something required when he can disagree kanak's slap to dhani and DT's to kanak's this applies to him as well...he needs to control his temper and be aware of his actions.

Physical abuse is nothing less than that of a verbal one.If shalu doesn't want to listen to him he could have given her time to cool down and he himself should cool down ...things wont get any better by reacting in such a way.If he behaves like a mawali then how can his sister listen to him ...let alone listen she wont let him anywhere near him.

I for one do not believe in any kind of abuse.

Viplav has said in our family we do not raise our hands on women.

He said that when Raja's mother was going to slap Dhaani when she tried to stop the wedding.

And today he did exactly that. Not cool at all.

When children fight even we tell tell there are other ways to deal with things and as adults we have to have some semblance of control over our reactions.

I want to eliminate a few Tripathi's but I have to leave that in the back of my mind and move on to better thoughts.😆

It's a no no for me. We all lose our temper occasionally. But physical abuse ( even a slap) is not the solution. It can make matters worse.
I would not accept this even between parents & older children.
Adults / older siblings always have to set a better example for the young to follow.

Here, Viplav is known to lose his temper quickly. Remember he had almost raised his hand at Dhani but somehow controlled himself after the fire episode.
& now slapping his sister in front of the family, no way even if he is trying to be a fatherly figure to her.
As Pearl said, when he disliked his mother slapping Dhani, why him??

I dind't agree with the slap however bakwaas Shalu was doing. Viplav had always said that he was against voilence against women, and here he only is slapping his sister. He oculd have shouted on her or go from there.. but slapping is not the answer.. It always creates a distance..
