I don't know this serial from the scratch, just started watching a couple of months ago. I know that Jassi is the adopted daughter, but based on spoilers and bus's entry and Simran recalling done mistakes during her teen years, could it be that Jadsi is Simrans daughter actually. Could this be the protected secret? Forgive me if I am too much off the mark.

Yeah, mostly possible.
But I hope it don't happen. I hope Jassi - Simran ka koi connection nahi hai. But haan, the way the story is progressing, chances hai ki Simran's love child was with Prabha Bua and Prabha Bura gave it to Jogi's grandfather. Isliye Darji was worried and tensed seeing Bua. Ya fir Darji was tensed juat because he must have had a certain past with Prabha Bua.😛😳😆 Pata nahi- I just hope the 2nd option is correct. Jassi - Simran ka koi connection nahi hona chahiye.😛😆
