ecame a hero for millions when she pursued her passion of dancing with a Jaipur foot and also plunged into acting. Veteran actress-danseuse Sudha Chandran says she considers it the "biggest honour" when someone looks up to her as a "role model".

Sudha, an accomplished Bharatnatyam dancer, pursued her passion with a Jaipur foot after losing a leg early on in her life. She then went to be a part of the showbiz, getting appreciated for Telugu film "Mayuri", which was based on her own life.

"I think when people look upon somebody as a role model, it is the biggest honour. I will never regret when I leave this world. I believe I have come for a purpose and at a very young age I have fulfilled that purpose," Sudha told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

She added: "So even when I am not around for many many generations, I will continue to motivate a lot of people... Wherever my soul would be, it will give me a lot of satisfaction that people will be talking about me and following me in their life."

The actress has associated herself with serials like "Shastri Sisters" and "Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai... Ajab Sa Risk Hai" in the past few years.

She raised the bar of the small screen vamp as Ramola Sikand in "Kaahin Kissii Roz", adding some colour to the dark world of vamps on the small screen with fashionable saris, elaborate bindis and chunky jewellery.

She made a comeback to the small screen last year with Colors' finite series "Naagin" in a positive avatar.
