As the 63rd National Awards were being declared, not all are happy with the winners' list. Kangana Ranaut won the Best Actress title for Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Amitabh Bachchan won the National Award for Best Actor fourth time for Piku. Bajrangi Bhaijaan has won in the Popular Film Category and Baahubali is the Best Film of the year. If we look at the winners' list, we notice that it is largely commercial and Bollywoodised.
Cinema lovers across the nation are not very happy with this selection as they claim that there is no difference between the National Awards and any other Popular Bollywood Awards. Well, they feel that though Neeraj Ghaywan has been awarded for Masaan, people feel that there are many credible independent films being made across the nation are ignored.
Though Telugu film Baahubaali has been awarded as the Best Film, may feel that the movie was a mere entertainer and did not deserve the National honour. Most people slamming the awards are from the South Film industry. Other than the top honours, other titles for best choreography (Remo D'souza for Bajirao Mastani) and best actress in supporting role (Tanvi Azmi for Bajirao Mastani) have gone to Bollywood personalities.
disappointed with the best actor and actress category#NationalAwards ... they were good but not exceptional

High time National Awards are classified into 2 parts..For Bollywood & for other Lang Industries..Like Filmfare does.
