Yeh moh moh ke dhaage
Teri ungliyon se ja uljhe
Koi toh toh na laage
Kis tarah girah ye suljhe
My heart literally sang when this song played in the jail cell scene today...yeh moh moh ke dhaage, finally. There have been a thousand threads tying Ragini and Laksh together...obsession, hatred, jealousy, pain...but none of them, not even the tie of marriage, could keep them together.
Because this crucial thread was missing...the thread of Laksh feeling for Ragini, feeling pain for Ragini, instead of being pained by her. For the first time, it seems to be dawning upon him what she means to him, and the way he was crouching in pain, crying, just holding her hand, it was heart-breaking to see the longing. For the very first time
Tu din sa hai, main raat
Aa na dono mill jaayein shamon ki tarah
And the longing's there on both sides...the way she wanted to comfort him, as is her natural instinct (Laksh, Laksh, always Laksh), but her realization that he had never loved her and her memory of the moment when he proved that so cruelly, stops her. So ironical that her realization and acceptance is coming at a time when Laksh is unwilling to let her go, at a time when he wants to rectify his mistake of ever letting her go. And she wants to believe him. So much.
Ki teri jhooti baatein main saari maan loon
Ki teri jhooti baatein main saari maan loon
Aankhon se tere sach sabhi
Sab kuch abhi jaan lu
Ki teri jhooti baatein main saari maan loon
But she can't. Once burnt, twice shy. He's hurt her too many times, broken her heart too many times for her to believe it, no matter how much she wants it to be true. As Teja said in an interview recently, Laksh is beginning to love Ragini, but she can't come to terms with it. She believes that he only loves her because she's doing so much for his family...and that is not love, for love has no reason (Teja you poetess you 😆😆!!). We can see signs of that in the precap already - Ragini stumbles, and Laksh holds her to prevent her from falling - Ragini says "Haath chod dijiye Laksh."
Because how can she believe that he won't leave her hand again? How can she believe that the man who pushed her to the floor on her wedding day in front of 500 people actually wants to prevent her from falling?
Its up to Laksh to convince her - and I can't wait for their journey!! Who'd have thought that there would be a day when there would be a Laksh pining after Ragini, and a Ragini who would be trying to move on. The tables have turned, and how.
"Main apni galti sudharna chahta hoon Ragini."
"Haath chod dijiye Laksh."
PS: Shout out to Namish for his amazing performance today !! The bit where he was just holding Ragini's hand and crying stole my heart...his posture, the way he was crouched, his eyes...they were all of a man broken, defeated and humbled, which Laksh is today. Major kudos to Namish for bringing that out so beautifully.
Oooh and last but def not the least, some PICS !! 😳😳
