Hello! I'm usually a forum lurker, but with so many thoughts flitting though my mind, I could not resist penning them down for you all to read - and hopefully like! So without further ado, here are a few things I have picked out of today's episode. Enjoy!

Favourite Scene: For me, this was the short encounter between the lead characters at the start of the episode. Adarsh's expression when she apologised for her joke regarding his Robin Hood status, his eager response to her offer of having coffee together and his little wave at the end of the scene, were all a treat to watch! The character of Adarsh has been so beautifully portrayed by Harshad; I'm not familiar with his previous work, but he has definitely impressed me with his performance on this serial. The way Adarsh is supporting her, perhaps foreshadows how despite the obstacles they may have to overcome in the future, they will always be by each other's side.

One thing that has been bothering me since the beginning of this show, is the concept of love at first sight that is being associated with Adarsh's character. As a result of the frivolous love stories that are regularly depicted on Indian cinema and television, viewers are often keen to label characters as being in love, one or two episodes into a show! I may be in the minority when I say that Adarsh is strongly attracted to Swadheenta, but definitely not in love yet! I'm hoping that the transition from liking her, to falling for her is shown gradually.

Significant Moment: Swadheenta's somewhat calm reaction when Prakash asked the judge to withdraw their case was a clear contrast to her state during the first hearing, where she was struggling to fight her case; it was definitely a turning-point. A second view of the scene involving the farmers and Ahuja made me realise that perhaps that was a set-up, and that Swadheenta has started to think more along the lines of a lawyer. Adarsh alerted Swadheenta of the recording that took place at Ahuja's party some episodes ago; it was perhaps this that sparked an idea in Swadheenta. I have a feeling that the conversation between Ahuja and the farmers may have been recorded. I would like to say that we can owe some of Swadheenta's newfound confidence to Adarsh!

Funny Moments: Any English that comes out of Ahuja's mouth has me literally laughing out loud. The "she will not ask for water" was another funny addition to his long list of badly worded English dialogues! I must admit, Asad's desperation to be cool coupled with his goofiness makes me laugh sometimes as well. But I do hope Asad's character has more to offer than just comic relief!

Star of the Episode: Swadheenta! I really love the characterization of our female lead. The way she teased Adarsh today was so sweet - usually it's the other way round! And I admire the fact that regardless of the problems she faces, she is quick to shrug it off and pick herself up - with of course, a little encouragement from her loved ones! I can't wait to watch her in action in the next episode.

Dialogue of the Night: Coffee toh banti hai! I've always laughed at the way Adarsh has managed to slip in the coffee date into their conversations. But I absolutely loved the way Swadheenta said that line today, with that mischievous smile! Finally Adarsh, your persistence has paid off.

Criticism: I have very few complaints regarding this serial. But if I had to say one, it would be the lack of screen time being given to Adarsh's character. I completely understand that at present, the story is focusing on the farmers' case. However, I do not wish to see Adarsh as a sideline character that has one line each episode. I hope his character is given more depth in the forthcoming episodes.

And that brings me to the end of this rambling post. It's 2:30am and I'm sitting here typing; what is wrong with me! I would love to read any thoughts and opinions you may have! Looking forward to the next episode!

I don't think Adarsh will be sidelined as this character is very crucial, along with Suhasini, in shaping up Swadheenta's career. Nice post.

hi,
thank you for making this post.

even I was thinking that it could a strong attraction not love, but how do we decipher between love and attraction? writers did not elaborate and maybe we are just supposed to assume adarsh is in love.

I hope Adarsh's character is not sidelined, I want to see him in action as an IAS officer and less as a loverboy.

Thank you for replying!

It is the writers' duty to establish that change from attraction to love. I firmly believe that love can only blossom when two people really know each other; the lead characters have only had two or three brief conversations! And I completely agree with your sentiments about the future portrayal of Adarsh - hopefully we get to see him in action soon!

Part of the conversation regarding the coffee date was heard by Suhasini Sinha. She suggests that South Extension is her favourite haunt. So the possibility of being noticed is there. The characters are being presented in subtle yet beautiful ways. The transformation in Freedom is visible. The one in Ideal is subtle developed through the eyes of other characters and through the positions he takes. Be it in the Sangeeth, the goons scene...the advise and support to Freedom the way he takes a stance and is described a loser...the way he shares it with his perceptive mother...hood winks his brother and returns the Jhumka...The glimpse of how he is Robin hood saving the elderly couple from the clutches of corrupt officials.
Its a week and for that they have covered considerable ground.

Yes, they definitely have covered a considerable amount; I guess that's the beauty of having a finite show. The story flows better, and every scene has a purpose. You write beautifully by the way! I really enjoyed reading your post!

Amazing post . Harshad's acting as men besotted by swadheenta is really good specially his expressions & yeah I too want to see more of his professional life then just following swadheenta around. Swadheenta's character so far is really written & portrayed well . I wish they do the same to Adarsh also .
