How Sushim was in history

According to historical accounts of the Mauryan period, Sushima or Sushim was a Mauryan prince, eldest son of Emperor Bindusara and half brother of Emperor Ashoka. He was the legitimate heir to the throne, but was assassinated by Ashoka in 274-270 BCE. According to Ashokavadhana, Ashoka tricked Sushim into falling into a pit filled with live coals. Emperor Bindusara nominated Sushim to be his successor but the ministers, especially Radhagupta, supported Ashoka, who eventually became the king after Bindusara. Sushim was the governor of Taxila during the reign of Bindusara. Prince Sushim was arrogant and not pleasing towards the ministers of the council, which became the primary reason for him losing support from the ministers. Sushim's name is found in Mauryan texts and accounts and in Ashokavadhana, an important text related tot he life and reign of Emperor Ashoka

Rajkumar Sushim Maurya, the first son of Samrat Bindusar and Maharani Charumitra is a royal prince of Mauryan empire . Being the eldest, he is the legitimate successor of the royal throne. An apple of eye of his mother, this very handsome prince has grown up to be quite a brat (we luv him for that :P). He treats those well who gives him his due importance but becomes a scorned enemy of those who has little regard for him. In the show, Sushim appears rude to anyone who progresses and earns the love of his father. He is proud of himself and is often insecure that any of his brothers may take his place in becoming the Yuvraaj of Magadh. He believes in achieving his goal by hook or by crook... Equipped with good military skills, this prince is currently the front runner in the race of getting the formal title of 'Yuvraaj' of Mauryan empire.

Sumedh Mudgalkar is a dancer turned actor. His hometown is in Pune, Maharashtra. This 19 year old talented boy came into limelight when he participated in two back to back dance reality shows couple of years back . His performances there and his popping style of dancing earned him the title of 'Beat King'. Thereafter, he went on to pursue his dream of being a professional actor... He started his journey as an actor in the year 2014. Now a days this young actor is winning hearts by his brilliant portrayal of the character of Rajkumar Sushim in serial 'Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat' (Colors)

Born to be each other's rivals, Rajkumar Sushim met his half brother Ashok when both were unaware of latter's royal identity. Their meeting was quickly followed by a series of spats. Ashok as a common guy was the only one in the entire Patliputra to dare to take on the spoilt royal prince. In return, Sushim left no chance to bully and harass him during rajkiya vidyalaya and thereafter. The feeling of hatred was mutual, only till the time when they got to know they are siblings of each other... shock waves gripped the two. Where Ashok was ready to start afresh leaving sour memories behind, Sushim was consistent in his hatred and continues to be so... The added reason being Ashok emerging as a strong contender for the royal throne, which Sushim badly aspires to get.

Impressed with their hateful love and chemistry on screen, we have named this good looking Jodi of two jaani dushman' brothers as 'SuShok'.

If there is one person who is always with Sushim, it is his mother, Maharani Charumitra. She is the coolest mother ever. Sushim is the apple of his mother's eye, and Charumitra's only aim is to make Sushim the King of Magadh. She can go to any distance for her son. He is more precious to her than her life. But the wicked Queen does not hesitate to slap or confront his son in case he is becoming callous. Although for the wrong motive, she keeps proper track of what her son is doing. Sushim too is dependant on his mother in everything, from being saved from his father or hiding his tears. Charumita and Sushim are partners in every crime, and secret keepers of each other. Even though evil, it is loads of fun to watch this mother-son duo on screen, conspiring against their rivals, or even badmouthing other queens and princes. (Read: Rani Noor, Siamak)

"Dil diya, dil liya, Pyaar kiya, gussa kiya,

Sabko pareshan kiya, har bura kaam kiya,

Par koi jhutla nahi sakta, Ki jab-jab tum screen pe aae ho,

Tumne har baar show ko roshan kiya."

How fascinating is the fact that the 'Prince of Darkness', with mere presence on-screen, illuminates the entire show!

Sushim Maurya, has been the most interesting character of CAS. Being brought up with everything he would wish for, made him used to winning every time. He does not like being denied anything, either it be something that belongs to him, or belongs to anybody else, but is his heart's desire He is bad, but being bad isn't anything wrong, cuz everybody has a devil inside. A hero would never be a hero without a villain. No one would love the hero, if the villain would not make them hate him
But oh well, this villain made us fall in love with him! How can any person resist this alluring devil The impact that he had on the audiences, can be understood by the number of threads we have completed, appreciating him. Nineteen! Something that isn't very common in an antagonist's case

The most important person that deserves all the credit for every effect that Sushim could have on the viewers is (Mera Beatking ) Sumedh Mudgalkar. This boy has been brilliant in every single scene! Amazing with every expression and fantastic with every dialogue of his. Being around seniors, he did surpass them many a times No one could have played this character as well as he did, I bet! As I said, it is very easy to make people love you, but very much difficult to make them hate you and continue doing that for one whole year and more He brought this Prince back to life, who was long lost in History. He not just played the character but he lived Sushim! Thank you so much Sumedh for taking this up, cuz this is how I found you ❤️ And yeah, the hatred people have for Sushim, is absolutely nothing in front how much they loved you for being so wonderful Your portrayal of the character of this vicious hunk will be remembered by all and forever If Siddharth Is the life of the show, You undoubtedly are the light! Light ke bina kuch dikhta nahi, tum na hote toh show chalta bhi nahi 😆

All through this one year and nineteen threads, we along with Sushim, went through so many emotions. As this is the twentieth one, we have put up those different emotions of Sushim here. Do scroll down and have a look.. 🥳

"Tum haste ho, toh dil hasta hai!"

Happy Sushim is sooo cute He was happy every time he won, every time he was loved, every time he was around people he loved. His happiness did make many sad 😈 but his smile is so lovely that even they might have wished for the devil to win at times.
